Question about Dell Inspiron 8500 Notebook
I bought both primary and secondary batteries for my Inspiron 8500 laptop since both appeared to be dead for almost a year. But when I installed the new batteries, the computer said that no batteries exist. I have checked to see if I installed correctly and still the computer will not acknowledge the existence of either battery! The secondary battery is not getting a charge. Both BIOS and the windows power meter claim the batteries do not exist.
THE SWITCH IN THE BATTARY COPARTMENT HOT ALLOWING THE BATTERY TO CHARGE OR BE RECONGNISED THAT A BATTERY IS INSTALLED, THERE IS NO WAY THAT YOU HAVE TO BATTERIES WITH THE SAME PROBLEM, THE RELAY SWITCH THAT SHUTS DOWN THE POWER FROM THE WALL INORDER TO CHARGE THE BATTERY IS THE PROBLEM, IT MAYBE SOFTWARE DRIVEN BUT I REALLY THINK IT IS A SOFTWARE ISSUE, HARDWARE AND A SWITCH THE POWER CONNECTION TO THE BATTERY CONVERT IS IN OPT OR NOT WORKING PROPERLY. I DONT HAVE THE RIGHT TERMINOLOGY, BUT SOMEONE SHOULD BE ABLE TO HELP YOU RESOLVE THAT ISSUE THE GEEKS AT BEST BUY, OR STAPLES IF THE HAVE A TECHN ON SITE, FRYS ELECTRONIC, EGGHEAD SERVICE CENTER, EVEN WHERE YOU BOUGHT IT SHOULD HELP YOU RESOLVE THIS BIG PROBLEM.
