Question about Marantz PM-68 Amplifier

How do I connect a subwoofer to an amplifier marantz pm-68

The subwoofer is part of a 5.1 Home cinema system.
I´ve connected 4 speakers to the amplifier and they work but I don´t know what to do with de fifth speaker named " Center Channel" and also I´m not sure about how to connect the Subwoofer to the Amplifier.

Which plugg of the Amplifier is the one to connect the Subwoofer ?

Both the Subwoofer and the Amplifier admit 4 speakers What can I do with the speaker named "Center channel" then ?

Thank you so much

Marantz problems

The speakers are 8ohms. Always try using speakers 6 or 4ohms. For B&W 683 on PM 6004 is too low. You should go for PM 7000 or 8000 series to catchup with 683. Also when you increase the volume please decrease the bass as well.
You need 8ohm 55w to 90w or 4ohm 80w to 110w speakers.

Hello there looking at the manual i would assume that the mid-large box is actually your centre speaker.

Did you mean that there are no connections left on the back of your amplifier? For a centre speaker this system uses all passive speakers apart from the subwoofer which has a built in amplifier for just the subwoofer, your hifi or home cinema amplifier would need to have at least 5 separate channels to operate the centre speaker as well as the front and rear speakers.

Ideally you would need a 5.1 channel or 5 channel amplifier with subwoofer pre output, any would do but to make things simple one with a digital optical or coaxial input would be best as this can easily carry multi-channel audio with just one connector.

The other alternative if your amplifier does not have a centre speaker output are:

· to get another basic mono stereo amplifier to power the centre speaker on its own however if your main amplifier does not have a pre out connector for a centre speaker you will have to change the volume independently on both amplifiers

Which amplifier that match 2 of JBL CM52 speaker and 2 of Bose 151

If you want to run both the speakers at a time you will have to buy a professional amplifier like CROWN XLS202.
Because together the total impedance will drop below 3 Ohms. An average domestic amplifier is designed to run speakers between 4 to 8 Ohms.
If you are running only one pair at a time you can buy any of the following Amplifiers.

hmmm. Let's start by swapping the wires you are using for your speakers. Double check the wire connections first, then take the left and place iton the right and vice versa.

Marantz PM-48 connecting to TV

look on the back of the TV and there should be L/R audio outputs (white & red), connect this to a spare input of your amp via a connecting lead eg. AUX or any other input except PHONO.

hope this helps.
