Problem for GE 1101P DVD Player

Can not activate GE 24921 remote control

By following the direct code entry procedure, at step 2, I pressed the device button (DVD) and the indicator light did blinks but then stopped. It does not stay lit. Therefore, I can not enter the code to make it work. Please advise what is wrong?

This problem is possibly happening in Step 1. You must hold the Setup button untill the light stays on. If the light stays on until you press the DVD button, then you need to replace the batteries.
