Question about Polaroid FLM-3232 Television

1 Answer

My FLM3232 does not turn on at all. Does FLM3732 have same board

I can make both power supplies come on, so its not the power supply. When I force power supplies on the lcd panel lights up, but no operation otherwise. I can get parts from a 37" (control box). Does anyone know whether the boards inside are similar, mainly the processor. The tuning boards are the same, but I can't find anything on processor.

My tv doesn't turn on. when i giggle the power cord to the back the power light just blinks. Seems like a bad connection, but it isn't in the power cord. I have tried other cords and have found the same problem. I don't know what to do.

How do I turn it on manually/

if the remote/TV button isn't turning on the set you have a problem. You maybe to force the set on manually by installing a jumper from 5vdc standby terminal to "ps on" or "on" terminal on the power supply. I woouldn't recommend this unless you are technically inclined. Sounds like you either have a failure on the power supply board or main board.

We have a Polaroid TV, Model FLM3732. When we turn the TV on, there is a loud pitching noise that lasts for 3-5 minutes, and then goes off and runs normally. Is there anything we can do to trouble shoot?

The high pitch you are hearing is probably due to failing electrolytic capacitors in the power supply module. Eventually this will no longer function. A tell tale sign would be swollen caps "tops are convex" on this pc board usually 1000mf 25 v caps or simular. I would refer to competent tech for repair of module to component level.

Tv has buzzing sound coming from it even when you cut the volume down

You have a couple of capaitors in the power supply that need to be replaced. This is a very common issue with the FLM3232 series.
