your paper error message means you probably received a document that wasn't the size of paper in the paper tray ,try legal sized paper,to dump the job stuck in your faxes memory ,this
problem happens a lot, theres reall nothing wrong with the fax/printer
Did you trying hitting an Ok button, green button, etc to confirm legal size paper, maybe it wants you to confirm paper size. Also legal is 8.5x14, did you select legal or enter the size as a custom page?
OK there is three places you have to check for correct papersize,-
1)In the settings on the machine
2)On the driver of the printer ,ON your computer -Start,Control panel,Printers and faxes,Right click on driver- Properties,Then you enter the correct paper size.
3)In the page setup in the program you are printing from.File, page setup, set the correct paper size.
Normaly the settings for 1and 2 you enter once and it stays there ,except if some one change it.
Every program have it's own paper size defauld settings.Check them before you print.
The problem is that you have a fax saved in memory that is the wrong size for the paper you have in the drawer. Probably it is a legal size, whereas you have letter size in the drawer.Just place some legal size paper in the by-pass tray to print.
You may have a fax in memory that requires a larger size. Try putting legal in the tray and see if it prints out anything. Also, look in the set up menu to see if there is an "auto reduction" mode. That will make any over sized incoming faxes automatically print out on the size paper you have in the tray.
