How do i remove the battery cover from my kodak easy share dv7590

from this manual:
http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/DX7590/DX75A.HTM

is the following statement:
On the bottom panel of the DX7590 are the metal tripod mount (kudos for the use of metal here), dock jack, and battery compartment. The threaded tripod mount is a little off-center and too close to the battery compartment for quick battery changes while working with a tripod. The battery compartment features a locking, hinged door, which slides to the side to open under spring pressure.

My nikon coolprix camera l14 battery compartment door broken. can I repair it in Abu Dhabi, UAE

ITS A TOUGH JOB TO FIND A REPLACEMENT . THE ONLY WAY YOU COULD DO IT IS TO USE A ADHESIVE TAPE OVER THE DOOR TO FIRMLY HOLD IT IN PLACE.

I just bought a SVP WP5300. How do you open the battery compartment? I can't get it open to put the batteries in it. Kim

Hi Kim,

It should be a sliding door on the bottom of the camera.

SVP is not that great for support. They list the camera as one of their new products, but don't list it in the download section for a manual.

If you still cannot get the batteries in, here is the contact page to email them and ask them for the manual, either a physical one or digital.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Even with brand new batteries camera will take 2-3 pics then stop and say battery exhausted, HELP!

From the reviews on Amazon.com, it is unusual for this camera to eat batteries like this.
I would try to do a "reset all" as described on page 109 of the user manual.
Additionally on page 111 of the user manual, there is a menu selection for the type of batteries that you are using. You can choose from alkaline or lithium. Make sure that you have the type of battery that you are using selected. The battery case will tell you whether the batteries are alkaline or lithium.
If that does not resolve the problem, the I would inspect the battery compartment for any signs of corrosion on the battery contacts.
If the contacts look fine and there is no debris in the battery compartment, then you'll have to take the camera in to a service center to have them figure out what is causing the camera to eat batteries.

Battery life does not last.

The rechargeable battery has come to the end of its life. You'll need to replace the battery and let the new battery go through a complete charge cycle before using.

Each time I power the camera on to take photos I need to reset the time and date. Is there an internal battery that is malfunctioning? Any other ideas that may be causing this? Thanks

Yes,more than likely there is a little button cell battery that powers the date and time. You'll have to look in your manual to find its location.I just discovered my battery is dead.Yep i checked the manual even tho i already knew where to find it.Took some reading to find but it was there in the manal. Its located in the battery compartment on my canon A720IS.Mine takes a CR 1220 - 3Volt.I'm still trying to find a replacement.Guess i'll have to go to a camera store to get the battery.Couldn't find at any of the usall places.Hope this helps someone,Gary Malcontent

Have a Vivitar v335 older model camera, think maybe early 80s. It's not digital, and need a battery. Several "experts" have told me a Duracell 28L is what I need but batter is too long. Battery compartment...

I happen to have one also. I bought it in the mid 80s. I still have the original box and instruction manual. It says: "Holding the Battery Compartment COVER in your hand, drop in and stack two LR44 or SR44 batteries so that the plus (+) signs are facing up. Replace the Cover. The positive (+) side of the batteries should face the (+) contact at the bottom of the battery COMPARTMENT. Turn the Cover clockwise with a coin until it stops flush with the bottom plate of the camera. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN".

When I put brand new batteries, it says "Change Batteries"

Use a Q-tip with alcohol to clean all the batter contacts (battery cover and inside the battery compartment), and a small hook into the compartment to pull up the contacts a little bit up. The idea is to make the batteries connect properly.
Use NiMh rechargeable batteries or Alkaline batteries, don’t use other Dry batteries, which are not designed for digital camera.

Memory

Here is the manual if you need a copy:

http://www.olympusamerica.com/files/FE-100%20&%20110%20Advanced%20Manual.pdf

It is located next to the battery compartment at the bottom of the camera. Open the battery compartment and you will see a slot next to the batteries that is goes into.

Its on page 25 of the manual.
