This is the error indicating that the Primary Charging cooling fan is either not plugged in or is not working. Check the connection. I've never had to replace a fan yet. This connection is the one attached to the cooling duct that has to be removed to get to the primary corona assembly. Good Luck.
if the black line is in the direction of paper travelling, change the dc blade or check heater roller .if the line is vertical there may be problem either with drum or primary charging roller. replace the drum first if problem do not disappear replace primary charging roller above the drum.
Hi, E824 There is a primary charging cooling fan error. 0001 The primary charging cooling fan stop signal has been detected for 5 sec or more even when the primary charging cooling fan is on. Service manual says: - Check the connection of the connector. - Replace the fan.
Why did you changed power supply? Did you try with new dc controller?
Have you tried to replace the Primary Charge corona unit? How about the rear block for the primary? Try to blow it out.... I did see in the book to try to run DPC in service mode... I also remember on older Canons that some times the wire ties may cause a problem... Also, you say that you are getting background... Is the laser good? Come to think of it I had a IR-5000 do the same thing and it turned out to be the rear corona block for the primary & transfer corona units... Good Luck
There is a problem with the Primary charge unit. You may have a broken corona wire or the grid is arching out. Unless you are a service person, I can help you. If you are not you may have to call for a service rep. The problem can not be reset till the problem is resolved. Sorry, wish I was more help
