We are currently using the VISTA operating system and we're having a difficult time downloading information from the computer to the phone. The computer recognizes the device via the USB and will download to the memory card. Unfortunately, nothing will download to the handset, thus no music or ebooks can be heard or read. Trying to open either application while plugged in renders the above error message. Can anyone provide a possible solution to this dilemma?

YouTube is a popular video website that allows users to watch videos from around the world. Users no longer need to be confined to the computer to enjoy the videos; they can download the videos to watch on the go as well. Downloading YouTube videos is usually not allowed except for two instances: when a "Click to Buy" or "Download Your Own Videos MP4" option is available. The "Click to Buy" feature is in the testing phase, while "Download Your Own Videos MP4" is currently available for use.
1 Go to the YouTube website and log in or create a YouTube account 2 Click "My Account." 3 Select "Account Settings" and click "Mobile Upload Profiles." 4 Click "Mobile Profile Update" button and complete the information. 5 Click "Create Profile" button to be able to start downloading YouTube videos. 6 Go to YouTube website on your Multimedia Message (MMS) enabled mobile phone. 7 Browse and search videos available for downloading. The search function allows you to look for videos based on keywords. 8 Click on the video that interests you to begin downloading. 9 Watch your video using the player setting to play, start or stop the video.

Hopefully after you download it and connect your phone to the computer,
you can recover the lost message. Actually, the deleted messages are
not deleted at all just blocked.
you might want to try it with a computer running Windows Vista - older operating systems will generally tell you that something is plugged into the USB port but will not allow you to access it as it does not recognize new software.
Samsung does not offer a Data Kit software package, for the purpose of transferring
data between the handset and a personal computer or for using a Sprint
handset as a modem for a personal computer. However, depending on the model,
there may be a media card slot located on the side of handset or in the battery
compartment that allows information to be transferred to a personal computer
with the use of a media card reader.
USB (Universal Serial Bus) is a type of plug-in connection that is used to
connect devices, including some handsets, to desktop or laptop PC's. In a handset,
USB is useful for quickly transferring files to and from phones, or for synchronizing
information with a PC application. The only USB setting needed for data transfer
is the Mass Storage Connect to PC setting.
To access the USB setting follow the steps below:
From the standby screen, press the Menu/OK key
Select Tools (0)
Select Mass Storage (6)
Select Connect to PC (1)
Connect the data cable to the PC's USB port and the handset Charger/Accessories
Hello, first you need a usb cable. You have to go to motorola.com/iden and download the apps for i855. On the motorola site, download the usb software for your operating system. If you have windows vista as I have, you have to right clilck on the download apps utility and check to use windows xp service pack 2. Thats all I did and it worked. Then go in apps on the phone and download it and go to the factory presets and download. When you download the apps, you will have two in your folder. After you finish, delete the one thats not being used as its using up memory. Pebbles
