We have a Presto quartz heater and have gotten replacement tubes from: National Presto Industries, Inc., P. O. Box 1172, Eau Claire, WI 54702-1172
In 2004 the cost was 26.00 for two (S&H included). We bought the heater in 1984 and it is still running great - we love it!

Try logging on to this web site. www.onestopshopcatalog.com. I found the elements there. I just now purchased some. Website showed they had them in stock. We shall see!!

you can touch the element but be carefull the glass is thin .... so scrape it and do what you can . THEN USE A COTTON BALL AND ALCOHOL and clean the element that will get rid of the oil you left behind ,you will be fine ......Please if this answer helped , please rate this 3 or 4 stars . and keep me in the paid answer department . A 1 or 2 may knock me down into the unpaid ranks. Thanks Cactus Bob

take the front cover off, it is just snaped on, there you will see it, depending on the age of the unit insinkerator will replace it for free, you just have to install it, but for the most part it might be cheaper to change the unit
