SOURCE: I have a cannon printer,

Hi

Make a update of the newest firmware (1.34)

Start the plotter in the service mode.

Print the nozzle test pattern (service mode / adjust / nozzle)

If the pattern very bad, change the printhead.

The 2F2F error means: non or bad ejection of ink.

kind regards.

Liebe Grüsse aus der Schweiz

SOURCE: Canon iPF 8000: Hardware Error 03800500-2F2F and 03800500-2F30

it's a multiple problem....there is no enough ink for the head managment sensor to understand the good function of the print head.
Print a nozzle check to see what is going on
Then come back for more information

My Canon IPF 5100 printer black ink is really fuzzy, I have to prit dark grey as I can't read the black. I have cleaned the heads and done nozzle checks, what else could it be?

If prints are coming out fuzzy this is likely to be an alignment issue. I would recommend doing some alignment tests from your printer/printer software.

My Canon IPF 9000 keeps tearing up the paper when loading, especially the thinner stuff, it gets caught up under the ink carriage and then bunched up and then I have to switch the whole thing off and...

Use only the recommended printing paper in your printer or else the rollers will chew them off and cause more harm.
A thin paper can move off with the roller unlike a thicker one as the gap in the roller is set for the printing paper.
So please check this out.

Ipf 8000 error code 003800500-2f-2f

there is no enough ink in the head managment sensor.
Go to menu, test print, nozzle check, check the grids 12 pair of grids.
Check if there are any brocken grids.
After that you have to perform head cleaning B twice or more.
If the problem still remains then replace print head.
also perform firmware update to the latest version though the official canon site

Canon IPF 700 with a hardware error 03800500-2f30. Please help

this means that you have no ink flowing from the nozzles.
1.st if possible print a nozzle check from test print menu an see the result.
the other issue i can imagine is that you replace the print head without perform firmware update.
It is very important before replacing the print head to perform firmware upgrade (cd incl. inside the head box)
Also try a head cleaning B twice or more

My Canon iPF 9000 continues to have Hardware Errors 03800500-2F2F

Clean the area below where the carriage rests, where it dumps ink into the maintenance cartridge. Apparently the sensor is not detecting how much in is being dumped or not even detecting ink at all.

Hope this helps

I have a print cartridge for the Canon IPF 5100 that we miss ordered and it is supposed to be for the Canon IPF 5000. Is there a way to use this cartridge on the IPF 5000 or is that not recommended?

Hi ptgraphics

Had a quick look at the cannon web site and the supplies and accessories for both printers are the same.
Yes you can use the cartridge. If you want to double check follow these two links.

IPF5000 http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=SNAModelSuppliesTabAct&fcategoryid=860&modelid=14005

IPF5100 http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=180&modelid=15275#SNAModelSuppliesAct

If you are still unsure contact teh supplier where you ordered the cartridge and ask them to exchange it for you.
