1) Go to control panel (either with the help of keyboard or mouse) 2) Open Mouse 3) On Button Tab Select Button Configuration ( Switch Primary and Secondary Buttons) 4) Also Check your Touch Pad Driver Software
Try restarting your computer by pushing the windows button on the bottom of the keyboard on the left side, generally next to the ALT button. use your arrow keys to move over to the shut down button, select restart and restart your computer. Or you can shut down and then push the power button to start up your computer. This should help reset your laptop and unfreeze your mouse.
If this does not work, go to the control panel, again using the windows button and the arrow keys. select mouse, then go thru the tabs on the window to make sure that your mouse pad is selected to control your mouse.

connect an external usb mouse .. it should let you to the properties page then.. then try to download the latest drivers from acer support website.. it should work.. if does not the hardware is bad.. you would need to contact acer to get the palm rest assembly changed .. they will send a technician at ur place to replace the kit..
That can be tricky, but I have done it taking a really small flat head precission screwdriver and going along the edges. Just be go slow and careful. Another option would be to just get a USB mouse to hook to your laptop.
It is unfortunate to know about that. However as you told that the left click button of the touch pad for you acer laptop has broken or damged, the only way to get it resolved is to get the laptop serviced. As the laptop touch pad and keypad is integrated directly with the mother board it is not possible to fix just that paricular button. The pad must be replaced. Get in touch with the acer technical support , they will replace the pad for you.
