When printing on the dell 3010cn laser there is a line running all the way down the right margine of the paper that does not print. we replaced the drum about 2 months ago and have replaced the printer cartridge too.
Dell documentation does not index "fuser". If you don't know where the fuser is, it's the device through which the paper exits to the paper-catch tray. I was going crazy trying to figure out how to "reseat fuser" as the error message instructed.

You need to stop the print before it is finished to determine the source of the issue. Most likely sources are the black drum or fuser. Please note: as I hope you will stop the passage of paper before it passes the fuser assembly, the toner will not be fixed to the paper and can/will be smeared. Also, visually inspect both drum and fuser for the line. If you do see the line replace that assembly.
Hi, It is most likely be
due to dust/ toner dust accumulation at the laser reflecting mirrors inside the copier, which partially blocks laser beams and results
in faint print. Therefore the
printer requires cleaning/ servicing by a professional.
The Paper Cover is located on the top of the printer. It is the vented panel just behind where your printed documents come out. It lifts up to clear paper jams, and documents won't print until it is closed. Just push the panel down until it clicks in place...that should do it!
You probably got a piece of paper or something in the image path or the paper path. If it is a nice clean line it is more likely to be in the image path, if it is smudgy line it something may be scraping the toner off the paper before it gets to the fuser. Check the paper path.
Replace the pick rollers. If you're out of warranty it'd be mighty expensive to have Dell replace them, but, if you call them, they can get you access to a website (I can't remember the name...sorry) that has walk through tear-downs with pictures of each and every step. (Only do this if you're handy and have time)
Otherwise, replacement is the next option.
Typically Jams on this unit are from worn rollers. :)
