1. Switch off the power using the 'MAINS ON/OFF' button
2. Press and hold the 'Temperature' button
3. Carry out the next three steps within 3 seconds;
4. Switch on the power
5. Release the 'Temperature' button
6. Press the 'Soil type' button
7. Check that a message similar to "DIAGNOSTIC MODE 123F7F2F5V127" is displayed. If it is not, repeat from the beginning
8. Switch off the power
9. Switch on the power. The fault code should have cleared
This is the general way of resetting a Dyson machine. For any fault try this first. The diagnostic number are interpreted as follows:- First 3 amount of wash cycle, Second set are the recorded faults, and the last 3 is the software upgrade version

I have f10 fault code appearing on my ultima wmd960. Have replaced pressure valve with no joy.

I had the F10 error problem too. The machine would not accelerate up into spin cycle. I opened up the machine removed and checked all the hoses and water pump (located at the bottom rear of the machine). I took off the small black hose at the top of the machine and blew down it. Put it all back together again. It produced the same error. Fortunately I had a spare water pump I bought last year. I swapped it over with the old one and the machine worked perfectly. I think the pump was about £40. Hope this helps and if any tech guy can give an explanation please add to post.

Indesit pwe 8148 w with error code FO5 Is the problem usually either a blockage or the pressure switch? I am going to try to fix it myself but how do i get to the pressure switch to see if it is stuck on...

Hi.

F05 means that the pressure switch shows full all the time:

F05 - Pressure switch jammed on full

The fault is usually fixed repairing or replacing the pressure switch. Before replacing the switch check for draining issues that can trigger F05 and clean the hose connected to the PS. The PS is located inside the appliance in the control panel or at the right side of the cabinet. The part is reached removing the screws holding the top and lifting the top. Power must be disconnected before starting.

Here how the switch looks like:

Washing machine AVD885. Fault showing as F10 can you please tell me what this means

  • F10 - Pressure switch not sensing correctly
  • from another fixya expert try this
  • Unplug the appliance and take the top off.

The pressure switch should be on the left near the top.

Take the thin tube attached to it off.

Blow as hard as you can down the tube for as long as you can.

Give the pressure switch a couple of good taps with your screwdriver handle.

Refit the tube and try the machine again.

It has stopes at beginning of a programe with fault f10 displayed on the display

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Dyson fault 'F10' decodes as 'overspeed, motor triac failure'.
Sorry but that means an engineer call ;-0(

Although it is bad news, if this has clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

F10 ERROR TRIED A SOLUTION OF GENTLY BLOWING ON PRESSURE SWITCH BUT STILL SHOWS F10 ERROR

You are on the right track, you need to thoroughly check all connections to and from the pressure switch and the control module
iT is not the pressure switch itself that is usually faulty.

My Hotpoint Ultima keeps displaying an F10 fault and doesnt spin correctly. However, if I then switch it to a rinse and spin cycle it seems to spin OK.

F10 meanswater level pressure switch not sensing correctly, there could be a blockage in the switch hose or chamber, or the switch could be faulty.
