Re: I want to record the voice mail greeting to save it
Hi, I did the same thing last year when I lost dad. I tried several ways but this is what worked best. I used an Olympus audio recorder which connects to PC via USB. Hold recorder about 8" away from phone, record the message. Then transfer to PC. I then used Wavepad to clean up the message and triple the volume, then saved it as a WAV. Now I have it forever & it's very clear. Good luck, I know how important this is. If you need further clarification feel free to ask.
If this helps you plz rate it 'fixya' for me. Thank you kindly.

Knowing the importance of this specific case I would highly recommend calling the factory and having the read the chip (s) and retrieve the data aside from that there's no other way for a consumer to retrieve lost greetings unless you might have had it pre-recorded somewheres just in case he wasnt there and you needed to reset up your answering machine. Hopefully this helps. Sorry for your loss by the way .
That usually has to do with the cell phone provider's voice mail, not the cell phone.
Call your voice mail. Instead of listening to messages listen to all the menus.
You'll want something like "setup" "record new outgoing message" or things like that. Usually you can listen and choose to save or do a new recording. You might need to press star (*) or pound (#) buttons to save or cancel the recordings - or maybe numbers 1 or 2.
Hi,I am assuming that you mean the voice mail greeting. If this is the case at your reception phone press the Voice-mail key, enter your passcode, then enter 0, 5 , 7 the prompts will let you listen to the current greeting, then press 3 (to discard and re-record you greeting message) press the # key to save and NOT button 2. I have sent you a helpful video about how to use the DCS Voice Mail. More like this are available to view on Youtube search 'abbeytel' or go to http://www.abbeytelecom.com
Hi, to change your Voice Mail greeting press your Voice-Mail key, enter your passcode, press 0 , 5 , 7 listen to your greeting, press 3 to delete and re-record your message. when you have done this press the # key to save. I have sent you a Voice Mail training video, i have over 65 others like it giving help and advise on the SamsungDCS.
The short version of getting to your greeting is:
Feature 981 or open voicemail key
"2" for greetings
"1" for record
"1" for primary greeting
"'1" to record your greeting
at the tone record your greeting
"#" to end recording
after you record press 1 to listen 2 to retry or # to accept
press "rls" key when finished
hope that helped.
IF you know the password for the mailbox then log into the voicemail by dialing the Stratagy access code, after Stratagy answers dial * , then your user ID mailbox number plus #, then your security code plus #. The User Main Menu plays, press 2 to change your greeting, the Select Greeting Menu plays, press the greeting number, the Record Menu plays, press 2 to record your greeting, Record greeting, as soon as you finish press #, the Record Greeting Menu plays, press 1 to review or 2 to re-record. Press 9 to save and return to the Select Greeting Menu and 9 again to return to the User Main Menu, hang up at this point.
In order to record an alternate greeting, you sign into your voicemail. Select Admin, Select Greet, Select Choose (and select which greeting you would like to use eg..Prime or Alt) Once you select the greeting. The voicemail is set to use that greeting. To record that greeting, go back into Admin, Select Greet, Select Rec, and record and save your greeting.
