    You have to set the resolution to what is called native resolution. For XP: Right-click anywhere on your desktop the Display properties box willl come up. On one of the tabs will have screen resolution. Make sure the slider is all the way to the right. Then click apply and ok. If you are using Vista, let me know what version, Home Edition, Ultimate, etc. It is a different setting

SOURCE: benQ fp737 monitor

Disconnect the signal cable from CPU and power on.You should get a BenQ Blue screen.
If no Display,Problem is definitely monitor related ie monitor has a hardware defect most probably the power/invertor board has a few blown components.
If you are technically able,you can dismantle monitor and check components on the Invertor board which you may find on my other posts.

SOURCE: Dell 17inch flat screen monitor will not remain on, the screen go

If your Dell monitor still under into warranty, better to call Dell technical support and have them replace your monitor coz there is no way you can fix on it.

If the monitor is beyond with the warranty already, better to but a new one than taking it repair that will cost you much.

Thank you.

SOURCE: benq computer monitor shuts down after standby in energy saving..

There are 6 (reduced quality) capacitors in the BenQ Q9W5 which cause the screen over time to 'fail to sync' when turning on or resuming from standby.

They are;
4x 470uF 35v, and
2x 1000uF 16v.

I recommend the following replacements if you are in Australia (the ones I purchased from Jaycar only lasted 12 months);
(470uF) http://www.altronics.com.au/index.asp?area=item&id=R4865
(1000uF) http://www.altronics.com.au/index.asp?area=item&id=R5182

Hi,

The picture board on your monitor is bad, since the lines are causing visual display, it means the picture board of your monitor has developed fault.

The best thing for you to do now is to take the monitor to a local repairer within your vicinity to help with the replacement of the picture board because the fault is not something you can fix yourself. in other not to complicate issues.

BenQ, power is on, screen is almost black, just very dark

You can not fix this problem from the panel buttons, the problem is something to do with the circuit board. Its the inverter cicuit that has one or couple of components faulty. I susgest you bring it o the repair shop. cheers.

Try to plug into another computer and wait to see.
If it turn up to be same it somewhere defect from the main board of the lcd.
If if not the same turn up to be, you should reinstall the OS because the software is corrupted or your display card problem.
