Facebook not responding

Everytime I try to navigate through facebook, I get an error that it is not responding. I don't have this problem with any other websites. I've gotten to step 4 of 4 setting up my account and I can go no further.

Hi ,
Probably your browser . Are you using Internet Explorer ? Under XP , you can't update this browser , known as not reliable with Facebook .
You could use Firefox from Mozilla : http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ .

IE8 Not responding on Facebook only

Since Facebook is not optimized for IE8, users will have to use browser's "Compatibility View" settings to get it to display pages the way older versions of Internet Explorer do. When you're on Facebook, click on "Tools" then click on "Compatibility View Settings." An "Add this Website" window will pop up with Facebook inside it. Click on the "add" button."

Facebook not responding on laptop only

Have you tried different web browsers? If facebook is not responding in any way, check running processes by Ctl+Alt+Delete and processes tab. There might be virus, malware or etc.

Everytime I try to log into facebook it another page says expired

well, the connection timer has timed out, It has to do with internet connection speed and consistency. If your connection to the site gets dropped, it's because the website doesn't hold it's connection open too long waiting for your computer to connect to the site, which ties up the server/network. once the timeout ends, your connection expires. Basically your computer only has a certain amount of time to connect to the site, if it doesn't, the connection expires. And Facebook is hugely popular. hope this helps.
