got wiring schematic but need to know what type your drill is, they made some ongoing design changes to it. Does your field have 4 wires or 2 coming from it. Let me know and I will get you the right one.

OK sounds like your tool is a type 4. Now for the wiring from the schematic I have the white from the field should be going to a terminal block to the white from the reversing switch, if so continue with the following make a rectangle schematic of your switch and from the back view the wiring would be lower left is white from the cord, lower right is black from cord and upper left is black from the field the switch might be marked with line and load on the side the line side is the cord and load is field. If your tool has anything different don't plug in, let me know and I will send other info but I think this will work

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My Makita 6402 drill stopped working. I press the trigger and it does not make any noise at all

You will need to have someone take it a part and see where the problem lies.
Start with the electrical plug, both the wall plug and inside the drill where the wire attaches to the switch.
Often, the switch is the problem, but the wire itself can be bad, if the cord is worn.
There is such a thing as the wire separating inside the cord.
We will hope the unit is not "toast".
God bless your efforts.

My Makita impact driver led light stays on soon as the battery is clicked in. Any idea whats wrong and how I can fix it?

the light is normally activates by the trigger, so either the switch has gone faulty or the wires running to bulb are contacting.

Drill keeps spinning when trigger is released use to stop when trigger was released

the break is out or the brushes are worn excessively. I would think the brake is out and for that you would need to replace the switch. MAKE a wiring diagram before removing the switch it is polarity sensitive. You can go to makitausa.com for a parts diagram and also order from there or they have a service locator also where you can find parts locally. Let me know if you need more assistance.

the header lists 2 different tools but if you give me the model number I will find a cord set for you and the wiring diagram that you need. If you also give me the area (US only) I will try and find someone local that has what you need.
