Try using system restore...send you back to a point where it was working....then you can uninstall those pesky software once more...this time bearing in mind what may have caused it to stop work in the first place..
Hello, It is not factor the brand ,Laptop or Desktop. You will just connect to the mic Jack in your laptop and D-click on volume icon or R click >adjust properties >Voice>Click on volume under voice recording >check off the mute and increase the volume .
If its just to record anything. You can click on start and go to all programs, under all programs you will find accessories where you would have the sound recorder which you can use to record your own voice.
If you want to use it for chat, you can use any third party softwares like skype of yahoo messenger.
Since its an inbuilt Microphone, You dont have to turn it on manually.
you have to calibrate your mic.. to do that
goto the task bar you can find the realtek HD audio driver icon
click that in that under microphone option select the beam forming option and
click the microphone calibration option,then follow the steps it guides you..
Open control panel go to sound and audio devices, select voice tab and click on the test hardware button. It will check your microphone and speakers. If there is any issue with your microphone you will not see the bar moving.

then click on search then type webcam and press enter . you should get a list and you should be able to click on an item to open web cam. if this works i suggest to repaet theses steps but then copy and paste it somewhere easier to find.
