Batteries in portable systems on average last approximately 300 to 500 recharge cycles (Roughly 12 to 18 months) and are considered a consumable item (Hence the 1 year warranty when the rest of the system can have a 3 to 5 year warranty). So your battery replacement is not entirely unusual. If a replacement battery is detected and recharges normally, then stops working after 12+ months of heavy use, the failure is normally the battery.

One thing to check is to see if the battery is under recall:

Google shows that Lenovo batteries run about $100 for a N-Series system (4400 mAh) which is about normal pricing for a laptop battery.

Why doesn't my hp notebook charge?

If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

My laptop is under warrenty period and laptop battery is not charging model no: 6720S (KL420PA)

1. Try a different power cord that is similar in brand and size. You could have a bad power cord. I would also remove the battery from the system while it is plugged in. If you system loses power, then you for sure have a bust power supply.
2. Check the battery connections. Remove your battery and look at the gold contact points. If you see any rust, discoloration or debris, I would suggest cleaning those points with a microfiber cloth and see if that fixes it.
3. Most computer vendors consider the battery a wear and tear item. As such, they have different policies for replacing a battery. If your computer is brand new, call up HP and explain that they gave you a dud battery. They will usually UPS you a new one at no charge. Depending on the age of the computer, and how much you use it, they might replace the battery for a price. Do a search online for the same make and type of battery before you call. If you can get a better deal from an honest vendor (amazon.com , newegg.com, buy.com ) then do it.
Good Luck!

1. Please enter into BIOS and set Load default settings. Remove any cds/dvds in CD/DVD ROM, remove pen drives.

2. Install the Touch pad drivers from the toshiba site. and check again .Check with External mouse and check , there may be touch pad problem.

3. Battery may be faulty. If your battery is under warrenty(one year warrenty from date of purchase) ask for replacement from manufacturer. Otherwise go to new battery.
4.Remove the battery and power on laptop with AC power. then check everything is working fine.. then try in re-insert the battery and charge it..
Hope this helps

When my sansa died for a long time, i just now found the charger and now it wont come on. how do make it come on?

Try charging overnight. Then do a 'reset' by holding the 'on' slide up for at least 20 seconds. If that doesn't work, connect it to a computer with the USB cable and see if the computer 'sees' it as a drive. If none of that works then contact Sansa. Pray it is in warrenty (1 year). Sansa will replace defective players in warrenty but has NO repair option if out of warrenty. I've had two players just quit working (no power at all). One started working again for a while. I was able to replace one (in warrenty) the other is out of warrenty. Seems Sansa Clips have either a battery defect or more likely a connection to the battery/power circuit that breaks. No user fix I've found. Good luck.

HP Ipaq does not turn on

Ufortunately, the battery is likely the culprit.
You can try removing the battery overnight, then leave on charger for at least 12 hours.

These batteries generally require replacement every 1-3 years. They deteriorate quite rapidly if left unused/uncharged for extended periods of time (like a year!)
