Need to know how to bypass the password on my main account on my dell Inspiron 1525

if the administrator account password has you locked out, do the following: bring up the page where the password is and type in the one you have, even if incorrect. then, hit "alt", "control" and "delete" all at once. a new window will appear above the locked out account and allow you to enter the account.
version two: open the start menu on lower left of screen, go to control panel, select user account, open a guest account and then you will have access to the computer but without administrator option's, which are not necessary for ordinary day to day use. good luck.

Cannot use my password to get back into Windows XP

Because of the security features built into Windows XP, it is virtually impossible to get back into the system without the password. You have several options to try and get around this problem.

If you have the access to another user account with administrator rights, you can use that account to change the password of the account that is locked out. You can also use the default Administrator account that is built into Windows XP.

First you need to boot the system into the Safe Mode.
1. Restart your system.
2. When you see the blue Dell globe or screen, press the ( F8 ) key about 3 times a second.
3. You should get the windows startup menu. Use the (up or down) arrow keys to highlight (SafeMode)
4. Press (Enter) on (SafeMode), then press (Enter) on (Windows XP).
5. The system should boot to Safe Mode.

Once you are at the Account Log on Screen, click on the icon for the user account with administrator rights, or click on the icon for the administrator account.
Note: For Home the Administrator account isn't normally shown & in Safe Mode you have to press Ctrl+ALt+Delete keys twice to show. For PRO you cando this in normal mode

When the system has booted to the desktop, use the following steps to change the accounts password.
1. Click Start, Control Panel, Administrative tools.
2. Click Computer Management.
3. Double click Local Users and Groups, double click the folder users.
4. Right click on the account name that is locked out, and click on Set Password.
5. You may get a warning message about changing the password, simply click proceed.
6. Leave the New Password box blank , also leave the Confirm Password box blank.
7. Click OK, and OK again.
8. Then close all Windows, reboot the system and try to log in.

There are also applications that can recover the password for you. The following companies provide these applications at a cost.
iOpus* Password Recovery XP here.
LostPassword.com, here
Asterisk Password Recovery XP v1.89 here.
Windows XP / 2000 / NT key here.

If the above information does not help in recovering the password, the only option left is to format the hard drive then reinstall Windows and system software.

I locked myself out of my laptop how do i unlock it

Wow, another person locked out. LOL. Ok which password? The Bios Password? The Hard Drive Password? The Windows User Account Login Password? And for which Operating System?

If it's the hard drive password you're out of luck because that is set to keep thieves from gaining access to sensitive data. 99% of the time when you see a laptop where the user does not know the hard drive password, it's a stolen laptop.
The Bios Password and the Windows User Account Login Password can be cracked or allow you into the system, however if you're running Windows 7 and you forgot the Windows User Account Login Password, you will need the Password Reset Disk otherwise you'll have to reload your operating system.

Cannot bypass password for laptop

If you're using Windows XP, there is a separate hidden account called administrator. The easiest way to access it is to go into safe mode.

You do this by tapping F8 just after the self test, and before windows starts to load.

Once on the start up menu choose safe mode. Click on the administrator account.

From there you can change any passwords in the control panel under user accounts.

You do not have to know any of the passwords to change them.

Or you can use utility to delete the lost password.

Usually it need 3 steps:

1.Download Windows Password Recovery Tool 3.0 from http://www.windowspasswordsrecovery.com and decompress it on that PC.there is a .ISO file. Burn the .ISO file to a CD.

2.Get out the newly created CD and insert it to the locked computer.

3.Re-boot the locked computer and then follow the process of instructions. Just after a few steps, the old password will be removed.

It supports all Windows version, recover Windows 7 password,Vista/XP/2003/2000/NT etc.

I have forgotten my password

Hi,
If you have forgotten the password of your user account there are only two options which can be used.
1)If you have two or more user account on the this computer you can try to access other user account of other user and access user accounts in control panel.
Remove your user account password and log off and try to access your account.
2)If you don't have any other user account then only option is to perform the system recovery.
** you can access recovery manager from the F11 option or Use the recovery cds.
while performing the recovery you will get the option to back up your data please back up your data before performing the recovery or you will loose all your files.
this will resolve your issue.
Thanks.

Windows xp pro logon error message "unable to log you on because your account has been locked out"

Hey!
If your computer is a part of a business network, you should contact the network administrator so he/she would setup or reconfigure your user account correctly.

If it's a home computer, you'll have to log on as Administrator to unlock your account. To do so:
  1. Click Start -> Log off (user name).
  2. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete twice.
  3. Type Administrator in the user name and fill in the Administrator account's password. Leave blank if there isn't any.
  4. Once logged in, Click Start -> Run...
  5. Type in: LUSRMGR.MSC and click OK.
  6. Double-click on Users folder.
  7. Double-click on your locked user account.
  8. Uncheck "Account is disabled" and click OK.
  9. Close "Local Users and Groups" window.
  10. Click Start -> Log off Administrator.
  11. Login to your user account!
Note: If you don't have access to the Administrator account (because you don't have the password), please do tell and I'll give you the instructions on how to reset it.

GOOD LUCK!
Pelu.
