Need repair manual for Toshiba P105-s6024 Laptop

Must replace broken hinge/top cover, broken dvd drive and probably keyboard. Need manual to ID part and proceedures.

  • jayberes Feb 11, 2009

Thanks Rebgagnon. That's a great link for the visuals of the how-to, but I'm still in a bind for ID'ing the actual part numbers. I've spent a bit of time googling and have looked everywhere I can on the Toshiba site, but can't find a downloadable repair manual. (I'm hoping for something like a Haynes or Chilton manual PDF, but for my Toshiba.)

Any suggestions? I don't mind spending a few bucks as long as it's an actual Toshiba manual. I just don't know a good source (and the Geek Squad at Best Buy won't tell where they got theirs:))

The 17.1' display of my toshiba satellite P105 its broken, two white lines blocked de screen, and 1 half of de screen its blocked by blacki need the part number or de model of de display for replace my...

Just a quick note, before you go replace the entire screen, make sure it's not just a wiring problem. If so, it doesn't cost as much to replace the wires connecting the screen to the laptop. LCD's are much more expensive!
As for replacing the display, this website has information on the display, along with the ability to purchase it from their site. http://www.pelltechnology.com/Toshiba/Laptop/Toshiba-Portables-Satellite-P105-Series-S6024/Toshiba-Satellite-P105-S6024-LCD-Screen-Replacement-P350475.asp

Toshiba Satellite P105-S6024 screen problem

If this is happening once the PC has fully loaded the OS. You then possibly have a bad inverter or bad LCD screen. Try reloading the video driver and see if this helps. If it doesnt then you will have to replace the inverter or LCD screen. A local repair shop should be able to replace these. And I would have them try to replace the inverter first as it is usually cheaper then the screen.

Best of luck and have a Happy and safe 4th of July weekend!

No sound

Your speaker wires may be disconnected from the sound board. See diagram 15 at http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/toshiba-satellite-p105/take-apart-2.htm . It's pretty easy to peak into the case when the front case screws are removed.

  • 1.6GHz

Each are Core Duo processors. I hope this helps!

Help with taking laptop apart

I have a toshiba satellite p105-s6024, and have had to take it apart multiple times. I have also taken apart the a105 series, and they both presented me with this problem. i finally found the solution when i took off the top panel that houses the power button (P105), or the panel with the speakers (A105). It can be snapped off with a small flat screwdriver at about 4-5 snap points along the border of the F-keys and the black trim of the top panel. under there you will find 3 screws for the keyboard, and four screws for the monitor hinges (2 per hinge). I hope this helps! if you need pics, i'll be taking it apart again soon, just e-mail me at [email protected]
