Question about Apple iBook G3 Mac Notebook
I am unable to log into the computer. I have 2 accounts set up, the Administrator and newuser . He attempted to log on several times as I did as well. We have restarted the computer several times and made sure the caps lock and num lock were not affecting the password entry process. I am looking how I can bypass the password process to reset the computer or any other helpful hints.
My name is Sydney, you should try to log in as administrator without entering the password that is if when installing the operating system the admin password was not set, in most cases when you switch on your computer the administrator use is not shown. So what you do is press ctrl+alt+del+del, you will have to hold ctrl+alt while you press delete twice. Then type under username administrator and on password leave it blank. if this does not work try entering your administrator password.
If this does not work, restart your computer. and go into safe mode, you can try to press F8, or F2 or Esc, depending on the make of your computer, this should be done before it shows the windows logo, at the time it is checking your drives.
in some cases you may have a problem with your keyboard, maybe some keys are sticking so you can try to use another keyboard and see if you get the same results.
if the above does not work, check to see if you computer has a recovery cd you can put this in your cd drive then restart the machine. it should ask you to press any key to boot from the cd, press any key then follow the on screen instructions. NOTE that with this process you may loose all you documents and your computer will restored to the way it was the first time you bought it.
I hope this solves your problem, but if the problem persists please do not hesitate to contact us again.
