Question about Pure Digital Flip Video Ultra Camcorder
The tech support number is 415.445.7626 and then option 2. I just spoke with Kevin, the floor supervisor and he was less than helpful. My brand new minoHD simply won't work--not very impressed with this camera, and I hope Cisco hasn't made a huge mistake...

Not having a phone number is how they offer an HD camcorder with an incredibly good viewfinder and softare/codec to boot for under $200. Don't forget that part!
That said, I shot 45 minutes with mine before the on/off switch broke. After about a week of back and forth email, I finally got authorized to return it. I sent it on my dime and got a new camera about 2 weeks later. Not the fastest but I could live with it.
Then, after maybe 10 minutes of shooting at best I reached into my pocket, pulled it out of the little sack and it had a cracked lens. No idea how. I am way careful with stuff like this. Might have been a fluke encounter with a zipper or seatbelt or something.
Anyhow, be patient with the tech support online. It's a process but once you get through it, you'll have a new camera. They are going to try to help you. But at that pricepoint, you have to make a sacrifice somewhere. It comes in the way of service.

I called them for spare parts/repair on a cracked lens...get this, they have NO REPAIR department and said my only remedy is to buy another camcorder...I've only had this for 2 weeks and am certainly NOT going to buy another one...anyone know who makes their lenses and where I can get spare parts???

I am unable to reply via email to flip.keeps saying mail failure.my videos wont play properly.either sound with no video footage or slow jumpy video footage with sound that doesnt match whats happening
any ideas? cant get through to them

The Flip Ultra HD has a glass lens and the chrome areas are finger print prone... the cloth bag it came with is not ample protection for it.. After buying new Flip UUltra HD, i bought accessories through eBAY:
1. black silicon case
2. Flip Ultra accessory set (wall charger, car charger, and set of 6 additional silicon skins)
3. Screen protector film for the screen
Then i bought a CaseLogic $9.95 + tax from walmart and it is much better protective case than what came in the package.
So far so good,
i would not recommend putting it in your pocket with the original colth bag... common sense!!! specially with tight fitting pants.
