Now I think I have other things wrong with mine, after leakage problem the refrigeration compartment wont cool anymore but the freezer part remains working as usual.Ive nailed this down to one of the following not working... Thermostat / timer / defrost heater. So one or more of these needs replacing.Im just trying to look for a manual which shows the nuts and bolts or the refrigerator (not the "How to use" type manual which I have).

Ok seems here that u have a defrost problem or a buggered evap fan motor ie is there breeze flowing from the cover at the back of the freezer if yes than this fridge has not got a manual defrost control it has an electronic timer built into the main pc board witch means that it could be the defrost element itself or the main pc board is gone looks like u will need to consult a professional to resolve this problem taking into account that there is at least some water dripping into the drip trey at the rear of the fridge at the bottom on top of the compressor if not than it could be a blocked drain

Water Pooling & Freezing

Assuming your fridge has a defrost cycle ( I.e. is a frost free model), you are probably suffering a blocked drain hole or pipe, leading to the top of the condenser or a tray nearby, where the frost water can evaporate.
The pipe can block with food or a mould plug, leading to water retention that freezes and further blocks the drain. the water is produced when a heater switches on in defrost mode and thaws the internal or external ice build up and, with nowhere for it to go it will pool on the bottom and may, when in defrost mode, run out onto the floor.
With frost free fridges/freezers, there is a drain outlet, usually hidden behind a removable panel inside the fridge/freezer compartment or, a drain hole near the bottom. If there is a drain pipe as well, access is usually from the rear base of the machine. The pipe is usually removable and can be cleaned out but prepare for some water to escape. An ice block in the drainage hole can be thawed using a hair dryer BUT GENTLY, so as not to warp the plastic inners of the fridge.

Frigidare Mod.FRS26H5AS Leaking water into bottom of freezer where it freezes then leaks out door

I had the same issue.. I checked this web site and found the solution (on another post).. It was the drain of the fridge being blocked.. I didn't know the existence of such drain.. it turned out that it got blocked with some dust, therefore with every defrost cycle, the water was not going down to the evaporator tray, then going inside the fridge (eventually freezing), then overflowing to the outside doors.. Check on youtube for videos on how to open the fridge and clean this drain.. Have fun..

try this first :
turn your thermostat down first until the fridge stops .
turn the thermostat back up only a quater of the way and wait to see if the fridge turns on and off as usual .
if it does , the thermostat is ok .
if it does not , i believe the thermostat is dead .
in regards to the ice in the fridge part , you maybe have the fridge turned to far up but let me know how you go .

Water leaking from bottom of unit

Because the fridge by it's nature is classed as "Frost Free" it has a device called a condenser, this catches water into a tray at the back of the unit. Look inside the fridge and somewhere you will find a small drain hole, depending on make & model, it could be in several places, but this is probably blocked. Also check the tray at the rear of the appliance, this could also have a blocked drain in it.

Water accumuluation under the fridge

at the back there should be a drip tray if this is full it will leak onto the floor it could be this, it could also be the drain in the fridge is blocked on the back there should be a self made into the back with a hole in it this is to go to the vapure, the part i was on about before, the tank is on top of the pump and its hot so turns the water in to vapour, usually there is not a lot of water but if the pipe becomes blocked it stores the water in the pipe and then lets it go in one full step over flowing the container. to clean the pipe out you can use a flex line or a net curtain rod, push it down and up the hole a few times the blockage will fool to the bottom or come out on the flex.

Bosch intelligent frost free 44

there is a drain hole in the freezer dept in the fridge that is blocked This requires removing all the panels etc within the freezer until you get to the main grill at the back This will be iced up so you might have to wait a while or you might be able to chip away at it. You will then see the drain hole concerned at thre bottom Try pocking a thin wire down it or poor hot water over it Its a bit of fiddling around but is not hard to clear Problem solved
