If you're sure everything is connected correctly check your tv input, there is a special input channel for each cable. FOR TV1: RCA: input 1,input2,video 1,video2, if you're using a coax cable: channel 3 or 4. If the problem is on TV 2 you're using a coax cable and it has to be on channel 60 or 73. For a wiring diagram you can visit the official dish website (it's on your bill) & visit the technical support page. This link is for tv1, you will also find the steps for tv2 Black Blue Or Snowy Screen TV1
Himarcos_and_s, my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network and I was going over yourpost and with TV2 showing what's on TV1 you want to make sure the receiver isin dual mode and if that is the case please unplug the receiver for 10 secondsto reset the receiver and you will have your TV1 and TV2 showing differentprograms. If you have any questions please e-mail me at Michael.firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hello, Matthew Gonzales with DISH Network here. The default setting in our receivers are to automatically record everything onto TV2. You can change the setting by pressing menu-8- 5 (preferences-record plus), then you can either disable the feature, or set it to record onto TV1. If the feature is disabled, the show will record at whichever TV the timer is set up on. If it is set to TV1, all timers will attempt to record on TV1 (unless TV1 already has a recording going on it then it goes to TV2). Hope this helps.
It could be the distance the remote is from the antenna. Try going to
the receiver and pressing the guide button on said remote. Go back to TV
2 and see if it is up. If not go back to tv 1 and with TV1 ON AND TV1
REMOTE IN HAND press MENU-MENU. You will be able to see the remote
addresses for the remotes
toward the bottom of the page. With TV2 remote in hand press and hold
the SAT button in the upper left of the remote until all buttons across
the top illuminate. Now press in a two digit number between 2 and 15.
Press the pound sign and the SAT button will flash thrice. Now press
record a few times until you see the TV2 icon on the screen blink and
the address is the same as you keyed. Exit out of the menu with TV1
remote. Go to tv 2 and try. You should be good to go. If your remote worked when you brought it close to the receiver you need to relocate the antenna on the back of the receiver to the room TV2 is in.
Thanks for using Fix Ya.
Go to the tv 1 location with your TV2 remote. Turn TV1 on and using TV1's remote press menu-menu. You will be at the System Info Screen. Take TV2 REMOTE and press and hold the SAT button on the top left until all buttons on the top light up. Release the SAT button. Now key in a two digit number from 1to 16 and press the # key. The SAT button will flash three times. Now press the record button until the remote address for TV2 changes to the number you chose. When accomplished exit out of the screen with th TV1 remote and you should now be able to control TV 2. As a precaution ensure the remote antenna is on the back of the receiver. If you still have difficulty it may be required to move the remote antenna closer to TV2. I hope this answers your question. Thanks for using Fix Ya and let me know if I can of further assistance.
Your recording will record onto your one DVR box, for playback on either tv. On many satelite boxes you have to search for the program you want by entering the name. Then select the program and select to record the future broadcast.
no you can't transfer then to another hard drive because of the format they have been saved in, burn them to dvd if you can, try reset the machine to factory settings, this in theory should ironout any clitches
i would suggest unplugging the receiver from the power outlet for about 10 seconds and then plugging it back in, do not turn receiver back on, it should come up on its own after a few minutes, if it doesnt wait another minute and then press power, it will reacquire signal and then you can try again. is this issue only effecting tv1???
