Where can we get SB fuses?

The receiver called for SB fuses and we could find them with the right amp rating at Radio Shack but only in FA.

OK, now any suggestions on where to buy Slow Blow or time delay fuses since I can't find them locally? PS - FA is fast acting.

Didn't think of going to TV / stereo repair shops -- didn't know they would sell fuses and stuff for hobbyists -- guess that's what Jadre is-- Has an inability to go past a microwave, stereo, TV on the curb. And does have a good rate of making them work after someone else threw them out.

SB stands for slow blow. If a fuse is the right size physically and the same amp and voltage rating, a slow blow or time delay fuse is the same, no matter what the markings.

You can try radio & TV repair shops, any electronics suppliers, industrial suppliers forklift shops, heating & AC shops. What size do you need SPECIFICALLY. I need the length, diameter , volts & amps. I use about 10 different suppliers for parts used in industrial maintenance. Some include precision electronics components.

I have a panasonic SB-WA920 but my receiver is broken, is there any other way to still use the sub and speakers?

Yeah, there is, buy a new head unit, or get your old one fixed! Speakers only work when powered by an amp or radio with speaker hookup connections. Speakers can not work alone.

IPod hookup to Home audio system

More people these days seem to want to connect their iPod to a home amplifier setup and so there are more units being sold to do so but for those folks who have an older stereo or amp/receiver there is a way to do this. All you need is a little adapter cable sold at Radio Shack or online at Amazon.com which connects iPod to audio amp/receiver. Just plug the 3.5mm stereo male end into the iPod earphone jack and the other end with the 2 RCA plugs, red and white, into an available input on the amp or receiver (CD or AUX for example) and adjust the volume. Be sure to select the input on the receiver where you connected the iPod.

For $2 at Amazon.com, get this cable.

How to listen thru headphones using a yamaha emx 88 mixer

Did sound for a southern gospel group, using a yorkville powered mixer. Not familiar with your mixer, but, on the Yorkville I had an unused 1/4" line level output with the monitor mix on it. I bought a cigar-sized, 3-channel headphone amplifier / splitter from Radio Shack, called a Boosteroo. Has 1/8" stereo plug that I adapted to the mono output, with a 1/8" stereo to 1/4" mono adaptor. It receives the line level (monitor in our case) signal and supports up to qty 3 - 1/8" plug headphones. Battery operated. No volume control, so I added an inline dial (rheostat) volume control cable. Can't pull up on Radio Shack, now, but, found it available, elsewhere, online. Worked great for me!

UNIT WILL NOT TURN ON AND NO STANDBY LIGHT IS PRESENT

There is a fuse in the back right by where the power cord goes into the unit. You can pick them up at Radio Shack pretty cheap. This seems to be an ongoing problem with this model. Good Luck

How do i play my ipod through the home theathre

Get you an Ipod harness adapter with RCA plugs from Radio Shack. Plug in the Left & Right channels of your RCA plugs to the Auxiliary input (or Tape, or CD inputs will work as well) of your receiver. Select that source input on your receiver and play your Ipod.

Simple question?? how do I connect my Panasonic subwoofer to my denon receiver?

I have a very similar problem with the same exact Panasonic sub. I went to Best Buy and Radio Shack looking for an adapter, and they basically told me that one does not exisit. Apparently, Panasonic designed the home theater system specifcally so that it could not work if any part of the entire system was ever seperated.

RE: RCA RT2500 Receiver

take the cable of right speaker(which is ok)and put it instead of the left cable if it is ok-your problem will be in your left speaker or its cable-if it is not working the problem in your receiver output stage.(left channel path problem)

Speaker cut-out

Most likely there is an Ohm Resistance difference between the speakers and what the receiver support. Look at the back of the speakers to see what they are, and look at the back of the receiver and see what it supports. When a receiver is powering a speaker of different ohms, it will do exactly as you described because of Amp confusion. If you really want to use these speakers, there is probably something you can buy at radio shack to put in between the receiver and speakers to lower ohms if speakers are too high rated.

No power

I have a TH-C30. I had the same problem where the unit just stopped working - no standby light and no recognition of power at all. After checking this forum and another, I opened the unit, found the ceramic fuse where the power comes in and went to Radio Shack. They have a T1AL250V fuse pack that is a 1 amp, 250 volt, 5 X 20 mm SLOW BLOW glass fuse which is a better fuse for this common problem. Their RS number is 270-1063 and a pack of 4 costs about $3. Put new fuse in and the problem was solved.

The repair took minutes - 3 screws on the back and two screws on each side. Lift the cover from the back (it is slip-hinged on the front) and replace the ceramic fuse. It slips out with a little help and the new one snaps in place.
