Hi, sorry. but this is not something you can do, after replacing tube there is a large alignment procedure that must be done as well.
total time for a seasoned tech is 4-5 hours if everything goes well, my advice is to call every shop around you for the best deal, hope this helps, video-tek

Instructions for replacing the bulbs

The "bulbs" for a KP-51WS500 are 3 picture tubes--they are no longer available from Sony. The only way to get one is remove it and send it out for REBUILD--very expensive and usually not worth doing..

All these sets had bad tubes--a lot of them had the wrong tubes installed when they were sold---I know as I replaced dozens of them when these sets were still under Sony warranty--

Tell me what problem you have and I will try to help you---the most common problem is the screen will go bright blue, red , green and or set will shut off.

Sometimes you will get a blue cast (blue tube seems to be the one that goes most) to the picture with faint curved trace lines.

If you have this kind of trouble there is something you can do to try to correct it---it requires no replacement of parts--only some adjustments

If this information has helped you rate this solution as I do this here for free.

I am here to help people.

Sony KP-65WS500: Shuts off when hot?

There is no "bulb" in your tv , you have a CRT projection tv, need to have power supply checked as well as the convergence board. Have a trained tech do it, this is not for beginners. Julio

Looking for lights....

You can find replacement parts for this model from the following Sony OEM parts distributor. Here's the links to order the original Sony blue CRT, green CRT, and red CRT (the 3 "light bulbs") for this model from that major parts distributor if needed:

Lamp(lite bulb) is dead - need to buy replacement and install it

Click here to find the lamp for your TV. You will still need to use the existing cage assembly, once you remove the old lamp you will be able to see how it's assemble.
For the lamp replacement instructions, you will need to download the owner's manual and go to page 16 to 22 to know how is done.

Good Luck.
