Question about Apple iPod touch

My i-tpuch is not hooking up th the computer

I hooked my USB cable up to the computer and my i-touch but it didnt charge or hook up to my i-tunes account. I thought it was because of my computer so i hooked my stepdads i-pod shuffle and it started charging and connecting to i-tunes...so we thought it was my USB that was messed up so we went to the store and bought a new one and it still doesnt work.
Is this a fixable problem, or not?
Write back please,
-Thanks-

I bought a Swagger 2gb MP3 Audio player, and it went dead. I didnt get a charger and I lost my instruction paper, how do you charge it?! Please help, Alicia.(:

Plug the USB cable they provided to a PC and hook the other end to the mp3 player. It takes about 4 hours to fully charge.

My apple ipod touch will not charge. Nothing will come across the screen. not even a view if the battery. I've had it charging hooked to the USB cable to my computer for at least 30 minutes and still...

Hi,

it might be that the charging space that makes the i pod charge is faulty due to always removing and fixing the charger in the charging space. The charging space might have been damaged or the voltage of the light i your area fluctuates and might have affected the charger too.

Check the charger with another i pod to confirm if is the charger or the charging space that needs to be replaced.

Take care.

When i turn it on it shows the itunes symbol and the usb cable

turn it off, then charge it. then turn it back on. if that does not fix it, you need to hook it up to your computer again and upload new info.

I forgot the pass code on my ipod touch but the computer that it was first hooked up to died what do i need to do

  1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone or iPod touch, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
  2. Power off the device (Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the the iPhone or iPod touch to turn off.
  3. Press and hold the Home button while reconnecting the USB cable to iPhone. When you reconnect the USB to iPhone, the device should then power on.

Note: If you see the message "Charging... Please Wait" , let the device charge for at least 10 minutes to ensure the battery has some charge and then start with step 2 again.
  4. Continue holding the Home button while iPhone starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo.
  5. When you see "Connect to iTunes" on the screen, you can release the Home button andiTuneswill display the recovery mode message:

If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, then disconnect the USB cable from iPhone and repeat steps 3-6.
You will lose all your data though...

I must be hooking ipod up wrong dont know where

You should have a cable that goes from your ipod to a USB connection. Then you just plug the USB connection into your computer, then the other end into your IPOD

My thing that hooks up from the mp3 to the computer wont work or somthing every time i plug it in it doesnt charge and the computer doesnt aknowledge it also i cant open up the phillips mp3 on my computer

If it's a standard cable, it's a USB to mini USB cable. Have you tried a different cable with similar ends? Also, have you tried a different USB port on your computer?

Wont Charge

Yeah, I had this problem too because I was connecting the USB proprietory connector/cable at the front USB drives on the computer. If you have been using front USB connecters, try using the back USB drive connecters.

It worked for me :)
