Question about Cameras

4 Answers

I recently bought a Ricoh Caplio RR770 digital camera. I have found that many of my images have a grey bar covering the bottom 20% of the pictures. Not all of them turned out this way, but a fair ammount which pretty much makes the pic useless when trying to post. This is very annoying and I have no idea how this happens or how to remedy it. I know the pics themselves are fine because after I took them, I looked at them and there was nothing wrong. Only when I upload the image somewhere does this grey bar magically show up. How do I fix this?

Hi..the best solution to this problem is by reset.
Take out the photos as backups and reset the
camera once.By reseting it you will not find any
type of problem. It will be alright. But if u still
continue with the problem you take the camera
to the service. He will be able to solve the problem.
try this out..
thank u..

CAPLIO RR770 HAVE YOU ANYBODY SERVICE MANUAL FOR CAPLIO?

Try ifixit.com, to see if they did repair your camera. They have videos and manuals about lots of camera's for free. They also can supply tools and spare parts not for free. I have to warn you, most of the time the spare parts are more expensive then a new camera. And when repaired, it still is an old camera, with possible oxidising parts, that can stop working in a few months time.

Hi

The fact that the lines started appearing when you deleted images from the Ricoh Caplio R5 is probably coincidental.

It sound as if the problem is a faulty image sensor (sometimes incorrectly called the CCD or CMOS sensor, depending on what type).

If it's under warranty, contact Ricoh and have them repair it.

I need a connection cable to the internet to upload my photos

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Caplio R7 Lens having black spots

Sounds like the spots are on your sensor. If on the lens, it would be too out of focus to matter.

You might have changed the settings; ISO setting too high or something else, just reset it to factory settings if you can't figure out ISO.
