Question about Olevia LT37HVS 37 in. LCD HDTV
All of the sudden none of the buttons on the display respond including:
source, vol+,vol-, channel^, channel down, menu, power.
Luckily the remote presently can control these. Hopefully it doesn't quit.
My extended warranty from Target expired in December.
Is there a reset or anthything that can be done?
The control circuit board assembly most likely has to be replaced, or the circuit board that has the control circuits has to be replaced.
The only basic thing you can do is open the set and look for any loose connections. Beyond that, there is nothing you can do yourself.
Many times when cleaning the screen people tend to use too much liquid cleaner and they get drops of liquid in to the set through the lip of the bezel. This will usually cause damage to any electronic areas that the liquid comes in to contact with.
Take care, these sets can be fairly expensive to service.
