Question about Acer Aspire 5002WLMi Notebook
I have had the computer formatted and the fan replaced, but it continues to have this issue. Whether it is plugged in or not, the fan begins to make a lot of noise after about 10 minutes of use and then the computer shuts off. When restarted after this shutdown, it only lasts for about 5 minutes. Any suggestions?
Your computer seems to be overheating. Probably the heat sink or air path to the CPU is dirty, or you have a hardware device making interference with the air path way. You may also have bad BIOS configuration try downloading and running core temp 1.0 google it. The program will give you recommended fan speeds and will tell you the temperature of the system. If non of this works, your computer is a SIMPLY lemon.

Seems to be overheating. When you say the fan makes a lot of noise, do you mean an unusual noise or just that it is on high?
