Just one game my xbox360 will not play

The game that does not play is most likely scratched, I would recommend buying a new one or attempting to fix the scratched one.

360 does not read any disc help

Hi there,

There are two types of scratches that can prevent a disc from playing;
1. Deep scratches
2. Scratches that follow the curve of the disc

However, click the link below to resolve the disc issue with XBox360.

Xbox360 seems to be scratching discs

Laser burn, looks like complete or partial circular scratches around your disc, also known as “the ring of death”. This occurs to discs when the games console has been moved whilst playing, from an upright to a horizontal position or vice versa or simply knocked against or the wires may have been just tripped upon. Discs are then impaired by a ring of laser burn, which is a circular scratch into the disc. Some home remedies may help with very light scratches on some discs but professional disc repair services is normally rerquired to restore disc laser burn damage back to "As Good As New Condition".

For further help on Xbox & Xbox 360 laser burn disc repairs or to get discs professionally repaired, visit:

You can send your discs off to this Disc Repair Service and the discs shall be sent back as good as new.

If this is happening consistently without any knocks or movement of the console, I would contact Microsoft for advice on your games console.

Xbox problems

Even though the disk may not have any scratches, it could be that there was an error while writing the disk itself. Take it back to the store and ask them to replace it for you.

360 freeze

It's unlikely that the system is scratching your discs. There's a possibility that if you have the system oriented vertically that you should change its orientation to horizontal. This is less likely to cause scratching. (Of course you'll have to try a new disc to verify that it's not being scratched, and with a broken console that'll be difficult.

What else is on the same electrical circuit as the Xbox360 console? Sometimes, especially in older homes, when a big appliance like a fridge, washer or furnace comes on it causes a power dip and that can create symptoms like you're describing. (It's always a good idea to have your electronics, yes even your game consoles, on an Uninterruptable Power Supply / UPS to help even out the power fluctuations.)

The sad fact is that it seems your system has died again. Unless you can find a pattern to what happens after 3-5 minutes, like a power surge, it's more than likely a hardware problem.

You should still be under warranty, especially since they replaced your system already. Get the serial number off the back of the new Xbox360 and call 1-800-4MY-XBOX if none of the above ideas solve the problem.

PS2 GTA: San Andreas Disk Problems

this shows that your cd is already damaged, the scratches might have hit the critical part. you said that some other cd's of yours have also scratches these are presumably minor scratches. its better if you purchase anew one. a damaged cd with deep scratches can damage the lense of your cd rom if you continously use this it would soon permanently damaged the lens

Xbox 360 freezing up

I bought my xbox360 when it first came out. Im guessing you have your 360 standing up, there is a piece inside the drive that scratches the disk and ruins the game. Microsoft just extended the warranty on the 360 recently, I would send it back to get your drive replaced. However, I don't know what to tell you about your games, but they are probably ruined, I'd ask Microsoft about that too. There is the link - Good luck
