Have you tried leave the password blank and just hitting enter? Have you tried logging in safe mode? try holding shift down while windows loads up.

So you are unable to use your computer at all because the password locks you out?

It could be a virus, Not 100 percent sure but many of the bigger virus scaning companys have a free scanner. Mind they wont fix them but but it will let you know if you have one, As for your password problem I need a little more info When does it ask for your password when you start up? Can you close the password box and still use your computer?

Try to boot in the SAFE MODE and login using administrator . Re start your computer then during booting press F8 then select boot and safemode.
if you can login as administrator try to check the user in control panel delete the password or input new password

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

There is a password on a computer it has xp how do i get by it so i can change the password

Is it your Own Computer? If yes then follow this steps but remember this steps only works of there is a password in User account but not in Administrator account.
Turn on the Computer, the place where it will ask the password there you Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE all together two times, you shuld press those key very fast, i mean once if you press those key then there shold not be time gape when you press next time.
After doing that successfully then it'll show you a small window where it'll ask you user name and password, in place of user name just type Administrator and leave the password place blank and hit the enter. if there is no pass word in your administrator account then it should open up and you can go to control panel--user accounts--chose the user account which has the password and select remove password. Restart the computer and this time it'll not ask you for password.

IF there is a password in Administrator account then you need to find some password removing tools.

They're using a JavaScript trick that puts the field information into the boxes. If you have JavaScript turned off, or are using a device or web browser which doesn't support it in that way, it will fail to display.

I am trying to use Ophcrack to recover a password for one of the administrator accounts on my Windows XP PC. I was able to burn the Ophcrack liveCD and boot it and it started the Linux OS and the Ophcrack...

Ophcrack is highly recommend freeware for Windows password recovery, but its not so easy and reliable, just as what you encounter.

You can create a Windows password reset disk to reset your lost or forgotten Windows password, i have created one with the tool Windows Password Breaker and reset my administrator password successfully.

You can have a try. Good luck.

Forgot admin password to my system.

Emergency Boot CD is a download you can find many places. Burn to CD and then boot off of CD, it has an option to change user passwords, including Administrator.
Here is a link to download
http://www.brothersoft.com/emergency-boot-cd-62611.html
It is FREEWARE meaning you can use all you want and never have to pay.
I actually used the Admin reset functionality. I fix computers for my church, and whoever used the computer last put a admin password on it and then left the church. I was able to reset and get back to a working computer without any problems. Works great.

Unaccessible pcs due to lost user codes

First try holding the keys Ctrl, Alt and Delete at the same time for three times when computer is on login screen at startup.
This will open a box asking for user ID and password.
In user put 'Administrator', and leave the password blank.

If this does not work, then reinstall Windows, after reinstalling Windows you will be asked to enter new user names.
