Question about Samsung HL-S6187W 61 in. HDTV

1 Answer

Broken Mirror I have the Samsung HL-S6187W 61 in. DLP tv. It's a fantastic tv. However, the mirror was broken. I have heard you can go to your local store and purchase a regular mirror that fits your tv for a cheap price and you can have a good picture. However, I have also heard that with broken mirrors your tv can be "scratched" or something on the inside, which requires you to replace the whole thing for perfect picture. Anyone have any advice? And how hard is it to change a mirror?

You need to see if the lens where the light comes out is scratched..
if it is then the picture will never be right until you replace it..as for a cheap replacement mirror the picture might be watchable if it is a good quality mirror

Broken mirror on my DLP TV where do I buy a replacement?

If its a Samsung call customer service to get the PART NUMBER/PRICE etc for your model.

I would bet money you can GOOGLE that model number with "mirror" and find either a replacement or a used one somewhere.

Let me know if you have questions.
