How to enter data for SD mode for FX-570 series

The older version for entering data is by using a semicolon.

x:f for eg 2;3 M+
4;5 M+ and so on.

The new casio calulator has no semicolon. How to enter the above data in SD mode in order to find SD and mean?

Hi i want to calculate regression in casio fx-3600pv???please help me

Here is what I gather from the picture of the faceplate.
You choose the standard deviation mode (SD) by pressing MODE 3.
You might have to choose 1-Var or 2-Var. (not sure, but 1-var for sure)
You enter a data item followed by the DATA (RUN) key. Keep entering data and pressing RUN.
While in SD MODE, if you press the 1 key you get the avregae xbar, if ****** you get the sum of squares of the entered data. Looking at the digit keys, They all have statistical markings: (A, B, and r) are for regression analysis, (7,8, 9). 2 has the population standard deviation sigma n x, 3 the sample SD, etc. That should get started. And please, experiment. There are not many variations, on th statistical theme on scientific calculators.
Hope it helps.

I am attempting to do some basic 2x2 matrix multiplication on my Casio fx-115ES calculator, however it is behaving oddly and I do not know why. I can do the following: Press Mode, Press 6 for Matrix,...

When you press MODE 6 for Matrix, you're clearing any previously entered matrices. So, you're clearing MatA when you go to enter MatB.

Instead, after entering MatA press SHIFT 4 to bring up the Matrix menu, press 1 for DIM, press 2 for MatB, press 5 for 2x2, and enter the data.

How to use that standard deviation on the Casio fx-260solar calculator

  1. Calculator must be in SD mode (standard deviation mode) :Press [MODE] [.]
  2. However, if [FIX] or [SCI] appears on display you must press [MODE][9] first.
  3. Data input always starts with [SHIFT][SAC], to clear the registers of old data.
  4. Type a number and press the [DATA] key, it is the [M+] key at the bottom right of keypad.
After you finish entering the data

Press [SHIFT] [9] (sigma n-1) to get sample standard deviation
Press [SHIFT][8] (sigma n] for the population standard deviation
Press [SHIFT] [7] (xbar) for the mean
Press [SHIFT] [6] (n) for the number of data entries
Press [SHIFT] [5] (capital sigma x) for the sum of values
Press [SHIFT] [4] (capital sigma x to y) for the sum of squares of the values

For additional information you might consider taking a look at the calculator manual

Can i calculate calculus using fx-991ms

If you want to get an answer like 1/2X for d/dx(X^2), you will have to purchase a CAS calculator like Casio's Algebra FX-2 or Classpad. TI series calculators also have CAS.
However, you can calculate the numerical values of derivatives and integrals only.
To calculate the value of a proper integral:

  1. Press the 'ON' key;
  2. Press the Integral key b8325f5.jpg;
  3. Enter your expression (example X^2+X-3 etc);
  4. Press the 'comma' key after your expression;
  5. Input the first limit after comma, input comma again after first limit;
  6. Close brackets;
  7. Press the equals key, display may return after a while with the answer.
for eg to calculate xdx from 0 to 2, input as follows:

dx(X,0,2)

To calculate derivative at a point:

  1. Press Shift and then the integration key.
  2. Enter your function;
  3. Input comma;
  4. input the point at which you want to evaluate the derivative;
  5. Close bracket and press enter.
Example, to calculate d/dx X^2 at 3 input:

SHIFT+dx key X^2,3)

Display looks like this: d/dx(X^2,3).

2. Press the [nPr] key
3. Enter the number that corresponds to r eg. 5
