Make sure you have good strong batteries. "Strobe Charge" is what the camera says when it's sending power to the strobes that make the flash. It can take alot of juice and if you're using weak or old batteries they may not be able to handle the load. I found with my DSLR that the Energizer Lithium batteries are great for cameras and have been using those exclusively in all my cameras. I just got the Aiptek about a month ago, have not changed batteries yet. My other digital video camera ran for over two months on one set of them, and I used it alot. It's on it's second set now and my husband has it.

Hi, If I connect my external flash to my Canon 7d & switch it on! but switch of in my Camera settings, will the Focus beam on my flash assist AF within the Camera? I was told this works with the 5D...

Hello Adrian G Ellis,
The Intova ISS2000 is a slave strobe that does not have TTL or focus beam function. It is a manual strobe that has power level function only.

My camera wont charge in the tray or the charge light won't come on. Camera keeps saying low battery.

My guess is that with the age of the battery it isn't able to hold a charge anymore which means you'll need to purchase a new battery. Your best bet for that will be to go through Sony or the website Dr. Battery.

How do i turn the flashlight on, on my vivitar dvr 850w please?

The flash instructions begin on page 25 of the manual. Keep in mind that the flash is for still photos, not for videos.

Can I get my Vivitar camera fixed without a reciept

Probably not through the manufacturer. you will need to pay for the repair yourself. The only other option is a little bit bad but it works and thats what Vivitar gets for making products that easily break.
If you have the money go and buy the same camera. keep the recipet and then tradeout the working camera for the non working camera. rember to take off any stickers that come on the new camera and place them on the old one. Put it back in the package and return it the next day. If thet ask why say it wasn't working. They may charge you a restocking fee because you opened the package only a few bucks which is way less than you would have to pay to get it fixed.
Try this at your own risk! I have done this three times and it has allways worked. but that dosent mean it will allways will.
I home this helps -Richard

My camcorder doesnt charge up properly, ive purchased a new batteery and charges a bit but doesnt charge to full, light keeps flashing to say somethings wrong. I put it on the pc and it seems to charge.

Is the charging of the battery part of the camera or is it a separate charger? Meaning you remove the battery from the camera and install it into the charger to charge. Of course, if the charge is not full when both batteries have been on the charger, then the charger is at fault. Also, considering that you have also put a new battery on the same charger and the problem is still the same, then the charger is (again) at fault. You can try and send the charger to the retailer for inspection or, better still, take the whole camera and get it checked. Bad batteries or charger can cause more trouble to both the batteries or the camera.

Battery wont charge

This camera not charged via PC, you can charge the battery only with wall charger(comes with box). When camera is plugged to PC, you can´t use it as a camera, only as a memory card. You can watch your stuff in PC( PC recognise a camera as a flash memory, no more).

So, this is normal..Charge your camera with wall charger(Full charge Red light not flash!, if light flashed camera is charging) Unplug and use as usually!

Flashing lights

This sounds similar to a problem I had. I brought the camera in under warranty and the repair shop fixed it. They shop text is cryptic.
Problem: Camera light keeps flashing, not charge
Solution: Troubleshoot to intermittent switch block control, replace with new one, test OK.
