When you pay for things in cash this is the sort of thing that can happen - you are left at the mercy and good will of the vendor. If he does not give a rat's rear end about you, then you are stuck.

Always use credit cards since you are not paying until you get the bill and is some cases if you time it right you have almost 2 months to pay. If something goes wrong, you go back and insist on replacement lest you return the item and get a credit. And if he does not give you a credit, the credit card company will take their money back when you do not pay them. Just keep good records.

My account with net 10 will not accept my credit card for auto-pay

The issue has to be resolved perfectly with your card issuer. You gotta do what you gotta do to resolve the matter asap for obvious reasons.

You can request the PUK to your cellular phone company or you could look for it at the SIM card holder (credit card size plastic frame).

Touchscreen not responding Hi, Here is the issue... I can use the side buttons to unlock the phone and the bottom ones to answer. I can't make calls unless I use voice command and checking and sending Text...

The reason your touch screen is not working is simply because there is a problem with the sensor board.

To fix this, you have to open the phone and replace the ribbon cable that operates the sensor board.

To fix this;
  1. Get the appropriate screwdrivers (Phillips screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar plectrum or credit card).
  2. Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Remove the four circled screws.
  3. Run something like a credit card around the join of the camera cover to release it from the rest of the phone.
  4. Now remove the two screws you can see at the top of the phone. A ribbon connector needs to be detached. This attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever it up to unplug. Now lift the circuit board up and it will release. Note that a connector on the opposite side of the circuit board will disconnect when you do this so remember to push it back in place when you put the phone back together.
  5. Two more ribbon connectors needs to be detached. Again, each one attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever them up to unplug.
  6. Remove the piece of blue/clear tape and you'll see another ribbon connector. This has a different socket to the previous ribbons. Just flick the brown latch up, where the ribbon enters, and the ribbon is released. That's all you need to do for now.
  7. Now lever the antenna out with your credit card. Very little force is required.
  8. Below you see the antenna removed. A metal bar underneath it will also be loose and needs to be removed. There is another plug and socket type connector. Lever the plug out of its socket.
  9. Now slide your credit card under the circuit board. Near the top, the circuit board will be held in place lightly by some double sided tape.
  10. What you need to replace is the connecting ribbon that is in the middle of the board, that was covered by the transparent blue sheet,
  11. Lever the camera module from the phone. It's stuck in place lightly with double sided tape.
  12. Run something like the edge of a credit card along the left side of the front cover to release it and then lift the cover from left to right.
  13. Now slide your credit card under the bottom half of the LCD screen. A small piece of double sided tape holds the screen in place which will release when you slide your card under it.
  14. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.
Take care

Had the same problem, phone just seemed to be cut off, tried updating the Sim off the Orange site, but phone was too old for it to update. Phoned Orange explained the problem, and they very kindly sent me a new Sim card, free of charge, I could also keep my old number and credit that I had on my phone, and they even supplied a free phone number to register the Sim when I received it. Apparently the Sim card was faulty even though I had, had the card 11 years with no problem whatsoever, strange that it if fine one day then 'faulty' the next, still hat's off to Orange for quickly rectifiying the problem for me. Phone Orange on 07973100 450 give your phone number but not your 4 digit code, then wait to speak to an person/advisor.
