Question about Apple Mac Desktops
I have an older imac computer. Is the lexmark 3400 compatible with it? I tried to install the printer with the cd but all it will do is bring up the license agreement. Whem I go to add printer and find the printer it will not let me add it.
Ok, since you state that you have an older iMac, I'm going to presume that it is not an Intel-Mac and that your OS X version is Linux based. So with that information known, you will just have to search for the printer (Lexmark 3400) drivers for the version of OS X you are currently running. Since the older Mac's use CUPS instead of drivers that PC's use. Basically instead of searching in Google for a Lexmark 3400 print drivers for an iMac, you would need to instead search Google for CUPS Lexmark 3400 OS X. Then you would get a link like this:
And if you follow that link you would get to download the needed file(s). And usually the installation instruction is there on the same site. It is a bit confusing to figure it all out but if you get lost there come back and post it here and someone will help. And if i happen to come across you i will be glad to help with the confusing manual installation of the CUPS into your iMac.
