Problem installing the 3 ram

I have a SOLTEK board type SL-75FRN2-L on which a have tried to mount a third ram, so far without succes, problem is that every time i insert the ram, regardless which slot, the PC refuse to start, it boot up, detect my HD and then stop, a few time it have reached the startscreen for Windows. At present I'm running with 2 ram, each 512 MB DDR PC3200 and would like to improve the performance just a little bit, the third ram is of course also same type hovewer not same brand.
I can supply more info i needed.
Hope my writting is understandable (I'm a Danish guy).

Regards,
Kjeld Nielsen

    Thanks to Nic61 for reply.

I have been checking the manual and my MoBo support all above.

Then I found an interesting articel and test of my MoBo on www.hardware.com - according to this test the MoBo are extremely sensitive to ram, only ram from SAMSUNG seems to work (see below)

For the Soltek board SL-75FRN2-L, only Samsung RAM modules worked flawlessly. All other pairs of RAM from Kingston (using Winbond BH5, CH5 chips), TwinMOS (also with Winbond BH5 chips), Kingmax and Corsair failed our stability tests. Certain system-level benchmarks worked fine but when it came to stressing the memory and AGP bus, such as in 3D Mark 2001SE, the board simply dropped out of the test loop pretty quickly. This pair of Samsung RAM modules may have been the ticket to operability on our Soltek test sample, but some other nForce2 Ultra 400 motherboards we had in possession did not take to the Samsung RAM well. These are our findings from sample boards sent to us, but it seems that the retail motherboards too face this problem but not to the extent as we were affected. Still, the problem exists and great caution should be taken with your retailer to allow you to swap with completely different memory modules should you find your board not functioning stable.

Only solution for me seems to be if I could find 2 pcs. ram, each 1GB as the MoBo works fine as long I only use 2 of the DIM. Finding these might be a problem but I will try.

    SOLTEK has gone bankrupt.

    Their web-site is "down".

So, there is *NO* "support" available from SOLTEK.

You could try re-seating your ram and your video card if applicable.
2 beeps generally upon post depending on the bios is video or unstable ram.
Depending on how many sticks you have on the board try re-seating them if that doesn't work diagnose the faulty stick by putting them in 1 at a time.
Hope this helps
