Reporting wrong times on my emails

When i receive emails or send emails, it shows the times wrong, like 2, 3, or even 4 hours difference. (ie I received an email and time on my computer said 2:10pm on 2/9/09. The time on the email I received said 4:01pm on 2/9/09. Always shows time a LOT later than when I receive or open it. I just sent an email and the time is 6:00pm, looked in my sent box and it said I sent it 10:05pm. It's 4 hours before 10pm. weird.

You probably need to check your time zone settings in Yahoo...

on the upper right-hand corner just above your yahoo mail inbox, you'll see an options link... select mail options.

when you get to that page, click on 'accounts' in the left-hand menu, and once in that page, click on add or edit an account.

in this next page, click on account information, you may be prompted for your password before continuing....

once you get in there... look for 'Time Zone' and see if yours isn't some hours ahead of what it should be.... if so, click on the edit link for that section, and change this to your correct time zone.

that should do the trick!

You can't change the user ID as far as I know but you can send and receive emails via Gmail under a different identiity. i.e you can be fred@companyname.com

Mails sent do not reach their destination. It appears in the Outlook sent as sent.


To check the exact reason - we have to follow few steps one by one as follows.

Due to following reasons mails may not reach their destinations,

Other End Problems
1. Email address typed is wrong or does not exist.
2. There is problem with the email address - like inbox capacity is full, incoming mail server is down.
3. Recipient received the email not in inbox rather in bulk/junk box - so tell him/her to check junk/bulk box.
4. Your email address is blocked by them (recipients).

Your End problem

5. You have not clicked the option "Server Authentication" or other configuration problem you made.
6. There is virus problem in your computer creating malfunction for outgoing emails.
7. Your outgoing server problem.

So I am guiding how to check all points one by one tactfully to detect exact reason.

First verify the email address you typed - then you send email to the same email address from your different email.
Try to use same mail server (your end) for checking as some time few black listed mail servers are there.
You request the recipient to check the bulk/junk box - or send email waiting few hours.
Tell the recipient whether your email is blocked or the domain of your email address (as yahoo.com is domain of email lina@yahoo.com).

Now this is the very important point out of the all points - please consult with your mail server admin and check whether you have checked the Server Authentication Required option in mail client software like Outlook Express.
You please configure the same email in different computer (virus free) - try the same.
Wait few ours and send to other email addresses - and check.

I think you may easily rectify the problem.

I have been trying to send an email to a friend using yahoo and the friend also has yahoo. My friend hasn't been receiving my emails. I even tried forwarding them to myself to a different email account...


please check,if your friend yahoo ID is correct.if you ID is wrong and you sent it and your didnt recieve i.just keep trying it may be technical problem and it will corrected in no time.

I tried sending a large file via email on my iphone


Go into itunes and try syncing your phone. You may be able to move the email from the application. Otherwise delete your mail account, and re install it after backing it up with itunes so you don't lose the contacts. I have 2 of them and mine has done that before, my wifes never has. so it's a quirk, but it was the only way I could get mine running again, it shouldn't affect anything else, just re input the settings for the email account and you should be good to go

Most times, people receive all kinds of emails from people they do not know. And from experience they are usually scams. Please do no reply to the emails, all you is to ignore them or send an email to pay pal reporting these emails.

Under My Computer, right click and select properties. 2. Select Advanced. 3. Select Error reporting. 4. Select Disable error reporting. 5. Optionally, you can have it notify you if critical errors occur.

1.- Copie the e-mail and send it to spoof@paypal.com

2.- go to ebay.com in your (R)side is MY EBAY click on it the go to your SUMMARY then MESSENGER you will receive information in your regular e-mail and in your ebay mail.

Unable to receive emails on my POP/IMAP account, but i can send emails (i am on MTN nigeria's Blackberry internet services) firewall is not blocking, its showing 3g blackberry signs as well.


As i understand that you are not able to receive emails from the organization's email id,
-So first check if the inbox in the organization's email id is more than 900 emails,if so than delete or move the mails to other folder other than inbox.
-Check the memory in the blackberry handset also.
-If still not working then login to blackberry.com website (ie..ServiceProvider.blackberry.com) and then delete the organization's email account and then recreate the organization's email account and then click on service book and then click on send service book...And then you will be receiving the service book on the handset and then save it and then you will be able to receive the emails from organization's email account also.

Have not received any emails for 8 hours, able to send


Yahoo is still having some problems at the moment. Suggested cures range from Update Adobe Flash Player and Java script to clear IE7 cache, cookies, and browsing history. Different things seem to work for different people. It's causing attachments to not show, 999 errors where it won't let you do a particular action and some people cannot send receive delete or move mail. It's not just Vista either it's happening to some of us on XP.
