You can perform a hard reset by pressing Refresh+Power on your Chromebook. There is also a reset button under the battery on some models but yours should just be the Refresh+Power buttons together. Hope this helps. :)
There is no refresh button on a laptop. Maybe a restart button but that depends on the laptop. And if you just need to refresh your screen, you right click on the desktop and click refresh
To restore Gateways you hold down the ALT and the F10 keys, then it should show a boot sequence screen,
choose HDD boot and press down ALT and F10 again then you will get the restore feature for gateway. If that doesn't work boot into windows and run the eRecovery program.
mcdevito75 here, Make sure everything is hooked up, Turn computer on, Press the button under the mouse, and wait 20 seconds, then presss button on the reciever, then presss button under keyboard. You should be hooked up. Hope this hepls.
No one seems to be selling that particular part anymore, which laptop do you have? The Gateway Solo 9300? You may have to try to find an upgrade that's compatible as far as the motherboard connection is concerned.

You might want to consider a default settings reset. To refresh or reset the monitor back to default settings, unplug the
monitor's power cord, and then press the the power button for five (5)
seconds to drain any residual power. Plug in and then turn on the
monitor. The default settings load.
