Won't focus I try to "zoom" in and the camera shuts off. The view window is blurry and when you try to zoom in, then it shuts off. It's a Kodak EasyShare c875 digital. Thanks

If I use the Zoom button it shuts off my camera, even with battery fully charged.

I have the Kodak EasyShare MX1063, purchased from Target. It was working fine and then tonight, at my grandparents 80th B-day party of course is when things got all messed up. This camera has never been dropped or miscared for, its practically brand new...yet when I went to zoom in for a pic, the thing shut off. It did this over and over and over again. I am charging it again now to see if the battery is messed up on it but it charged all last night so it should have had full charge. My Target receipt literally just expired a few days ago so now its unreturnable..I contact Kodak so we will see what they say. Sounds like lots of people have this issue, the camera shutting down and shutter issues, and other things was prob built in china...its my guess....

My wife and I have the same problem with our C875. We noticed the other day prior to the blurry photos that the shutter would not close all of the way leaving the lens partially exposed. Once that corrected itself somehow then the auto focus would not adjust. It started to clear up when you used the zoom in, but when the zoom was fully extended the camera would shut down completely by powering off.

We really liked this camera up until it went to **** after a relatively short time of ownership.

If the camera was dropped, it is possible that something was knocked out of place. That sounds very likely in your case. You should also make sure that the batteries are good. I have a Kodak camera that uses rechargeable AA cells, and they do not last long at all! Mine is a C-743, which has an actual viewfinder, though I suspect yours only has the LCD screen. Those idiots at Kodak think that cameras don't need those anymore, now that they have image stability programs. THEY ARE WRONG!

You may need a repair so expensive that you should consider trading it in for a newer model. These days it is hard to justify the cost of repairing a camera.

Back in the days of the Retina IIIC, Kodak sold some great cameras, and frankly I own two Kodaks now myself, a C-743 which is a pile of junk, and a Z-712 which I love. I believe that Kodak has some of the best image quality available on a digital camera, because they were one of the first camera companies to learn how to tame the contrasty CCD that actually takes the picture in these digital cameras....

HI no mater the setting, 80% of my photos come out blurry

You've posted here in the camera flash section and the flash will not affect the focus of your images. Check to see if you've got the camera set for auto focus.

My lens will not focus. Pictures are all coming out blurry no matter what setting I have the camera on, and no matter how much I zoom in or nout.

You know sometimes the lens will not focus if you have a physical damage etc., first of all i would like to clarify some points.

1. Did you place your camera near to a strong magnetic area?
2. Did you drop the camera?
3. Did you use Zoom in Zoom-out continuously at the same time?

for the first point i am sure it was exposed to strong Magnetic field, as and when it is exposed the coil of the zoom lens which move the lens in and out will get out of place and makes it impossible to maintain focus. If so then better is to open the camera and re-adjust the lens. But if you are confident to put it back then open it or try to slowly wiggle the camera and check if it gets better.

My kodak m1033 camera won't focus, it tries to, and I can hear like gears moving while it tries to focus, but nothing- still blurry

You don't say anything about light conditions, target color, definition, contrast, and the many other things that can cause this.

Is your camera at fault? Maybe.
