1. open my computer
2. open another my computer window

3. now use the first my computer window and go into the first hard drive and find the file
4. ones you have found the file Right click on the file and select copy.

5. now use the 2nd my computer window we opened and go into the other.
6. ones you are there right click on the empty space there and select paste

the file will be duplicated to the new location so you will have two files, one file in the original location and a copy on the other location.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks,
Ekse

The USB drive is recognized as an ordinary hard drive with a letter, easily seen in Windows Explorer. Use drag and drop to copy and paste what ever you want including photos or music, any type of file, no software, program od driver is necessary.

Once you have the .mp3 file on your computer, go to "My Computer" and navigate to where you saved it, right click the file and select "Copy". Now in "My Computer" your sandisk flash drive should appear, open it and "Paste" the file.

I want to copy my "MONEY" file onto the SanDisk Cruzer Micro USB 2.0 Flash Drive (8 GB). I used to use the 3.5 in. floppy disc for back up but it is not available anymore. So, I am hoping I can...

Bushtildaj,

If you know where the "MONEY" file is on the local computer, then absolutely you can drag and drop that file onto the flash drive. If you are using windows, you can even right click on the "MONEY" file, and on the menu that pops up there should be an option titled "Send to". If you click on this option, it should show you a list of options where you can copy the file, and you should see the drive letter assigned to your flash drive there as well.

And no, you do not need the Internet to copy the file to a flash drive.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

Thank you.

How to add documents on sandisk 4gb flash drive

I would assume you want to save documents to the flash drive, if this is correct, plug the flash drive to a USB port on the computer and once it is detected in My Computer (or you may get a prompt for it), just open its folder and you can copy/save files from your computer to the flash drive. NOTE: you may need to format the flash drive first using your computer if it is the first time you'll be using it.

I have an older HP Pavilion PC with Windows ME. I recently copied 164 Adobe Acrobat files from my ?C? Hard Drive to a 2 GB SanDisk USB 2.0 Flash Drive without any problems. Now I cannot copy any more files...

Sounds like the F.A.T. (File Allocation Table) is bad on the drive. Try to format it and then copy everything back to it once again.

How do I move a file from one computer to another

The mac computer should be able to read your Windows partition, but be warned that it will not work the other way around. There are many ways of moving the file, such as copying to a flash drive and plugging the flash drive into the Mac computer, or e-mailing the file to yourself.
