This worked for me: do not delete your game. Click start new game and go through until you are in your room walking around. Then click L+R+start+select to restart the game. Choose your save file and it should load normally.
When the game start the four items listed as they would read in English are:
-Options--------CHOOSE THIS, It's OPTIONS In French
The next screen shows(in English)
-Language--------CHOOSE THIS, it's "LAGUE" In French
From the displayed list of languages select ENGLISH, the select Back to begin playing again.
This will occur if the DS is set to a language other than English, or the game options have been set to a different language. To correct this, 1. Launch the game and get to the main menu. 2. Choose the 3rd option in the list (this will be Options) 3. On the next menu, choose the 3rd option in the list (this will be language) 4. On the next screen the first option will be English. Select that 5. Then select Back (the very bottom option). 6. Choose Load Game. 7. Choose a save slot to load and choose Yes, then ok. 8. Press the Start button on the DS and choose Exit. Choose Yes to Quit Game. 9. Restart the DS. 10. Launch the game again. It should have saved the language setting.
First of all, make sure your DS isn't connected to the computer at all, and try the fix again (the "A+B+SELECT+START" thing that you know), THEN plug in your computer (let go of the buttons at then menu screen, then plug it in). DON'T hit the quick update button on the code manager and select the empty code-list and delete everything in there again (The one on your DS). Select a game in your code-list on the bottom right (I chose Pokemon Diamond) and drag to the DS window (left).
Now try to add something to the code-list on your DS (the left window) And it should allow you to write to your DS. After the Reset, I had no problems re-adding games to my Action Replay after following the steps exactly. If you have your DS plugged in before you did the reset thing, that may be the problem. Make sure you do the software update (the top right button on the code manager on the computer) just to make sure you're up to date.
