Our local CompUSA is selling the card for $229 w/$30 rebate for a net cost
of $199. Where is your local store? I'm in Raleigh, NC. If I could get it
for
$149 I would buy it today!
Thanks,
Bob Summers

I just thought I would put in my two cents worth. I just picked up a
Power3D card from CompUSA here for $199.99. Best of all, it came with a
$50.00 rebate. The rebate was the deciding factor for me, but the card is
fantastic so far.

I have only used it for a few hours now, but I have a feeling I will not
be disappointed at all. I am running it in a 7300/200 with a 17"
AppleVision, and it looks beautiful. It also helps that it comes with a
few really good games.

Anyway, I am starting to ramble, so I should cut this off. In closing, if
you are thinking about this card, I would recommend it highly!

Sonny,

First of all, I think, we should support ourselves.

Second - please, tell me, WHERE DID YOU FIND MONSTER DRIVERS FOR MAC?? :)

Here's what I found in support section on #

Problem
What operating systems are supported by the Monster 3D?
Resolution
At this time Diamond currently supports Windows 95. In
addition, 3DFX has drivers available that support GLide
under Windows NT4.0.
The Monster uses 2 APIs for 3D: Direct3D (a part of
directX) and GLIDE (the 3dfx proprietary API). Windows
NT Glide can be downloaded from 3DFX's website, but
NT generally does not support Dos games well. Windows
NT also has no support for Direct3D hardware acceleration.
Direct3D is only available in NT as software emulation,
and Windows 3.1x has no DirectX support.

There's nothing here about the existence of Mac drivers.

Best wishes,

]I know we should support Mac developers, but the Diamond Monster 3Dfx
]card will also work in most PCI Macs. I have one running in my 7500 at
]home. Great for Quake and F-18 Hornet 3 (Korean Crisis). Drivers are
]free and easily avaliable.
]
]Still, I heard the TechWorks card is fantastic. Shame there are no
]resellers for the card here in Australia. Maybe I would have bought that
]card instread of a PC card.

I've seen and tried the Techworks card at Status Graph in Sydney,
phone # (02) 9552 1388.

Status Graph seems to be one of the better dealers in town IMHO.
