Question about Cannon 10476G Dual Fuel (Electric and Gas) Kitchen Range
We just installed a second hand (4 year old) Cannon Henley Professional Dual Fuel Cooker. It's a beauty, thought we'd have it professionaly cleaned as we got a bargain at £50. I trust the former owner that it worked perfectly well and saw their new built in oven in their posh new kitchen, so I doubt that there was a problem before transporting it.
Here's what happened. Our electrician installed a new 45amp dedicated RCD supply. Unfortunately this was after the oven was cleaned by ovenu, so I can't say if their work had any effect. We turned on the supply and the RCD tripped. We turned it on again, and this time it was fine. Turned the main fan oven on and it worked fine, then a few seconds later the bulb blew. ( The main fan oven still works fine, even with the timer). On trying the top electric oven and grill there is no sign of life. The thermostat light doesn't come on, and neither does the oven light (with a new working bulb). I'm nervous about taking the back off, pertly because the gas inlet appears to be on top of the back panel. any ideas? I'm guessing thermostat or element? But is there anything else that could be knocked out of place?

SOURCE: Gas in main oven
hello, i have looked into the problem and have come up with a fix for mine at least. take out all the trays, and peer into the rear. you will see a silver section which has three srcews. remove the centre one to get access to the burner which has the white igniter on it. this just slips sideways and off. with the aid of a small mirror you should see a small brass nut where the gas comes from. there is a small pinhole in the centre, mine was slightly blocked and this reduced the flow of gas. i cleaned this with a pin and the gas flow improved. i am not an expert and take no responsibilty if it goes wrong. it appears to have worked for me so the choice is yours.
