Manual trouble I can't locate a manual for this heater anywhere. It's the model cth-2 by lakewood. this is ridiculous. I have looked everywhere.

I need it because I work for a forensic company and we need the manual for the heater. I don't necessarily have a specific problem. I just need to have the manual. I tried contacting lakewood, but apparently it's a little old and they've already removed the materials because they don't make them anymore.

What do you need the manual for? Maybe I can answer your question without the manual...?

Bad Odor on the Lakewood Oil Filled Electric Radiator Heater

Pull the 4 small screws from top & bottom of plastic cover (2 under plastic tab on top, pry off) and then check ALL connectors and all wires. Chances are one of the leads has been overheating and smoldering (mine burnt wire off on lower Thermal switch.) You may need a KDS 301themal switch matching the one in your heater. Google for sellers.

Model 707 Lakewood portable heater stopped working

I don't know how to make your heater work again, but I do know (from long experience with Lakewood 707s) that the setting knobs often fail to function properly even if the heating element still works. My solution is to plug the heater into an adapter with an on/off switch on it and use that to control the power. I leave the setting knobs on the heater itself in the position where I usually use them (max heat). These are excellent heaters except for the knob problem.

Hello, I have a Lakewood space heater, Model # 792/JR, and one of my kids tried to dry her shirt by placing it over the heater and now it comes on but doesnt heat up. Can this be fixed?

The heater "over-heated". It's supposed to have a safety cut-out. The question is, can it reset itself? If there is no manual reset button on it, leave it unplugged for 30 minutes or so. If it still doesn't work, spend $20 on a new one.

I have a Lakewood mdl 5600/7 oil heater. Love it. It seems to have given up. I unplugged it for a while, relocated to different power source, still no lights or anything else. Internal fuse? If so, where?

I had the exact same problem and I took the front panel off and found the bottom thermostat was burned up when I bipassed it the heater worked so I know this is the problem. Its the small thermostat attached with two small screwes to the heater. It is a KSD301 16amp 125volt 160degree themostat but I am having trouble locating one. They seem to be chinese made and mostly have to be ordered in bulk. When/if I find one I will post again
