You can get bat file from lexmark that will reprogram the nvram chip. the problem is when those errors start it because of a corrupted control code. the nvram has reached its read write max. there is also an eprom that goes bad. we replace them both

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

T614 invalid engine code how to fix

Here's an article in the Lexmark website on The Printer Displays an 'Invalid Engine Code' Message. Just click on this link: http://bit.ly/aG7vrC. Read thoroughly the article first. Follow the instructions carefully.
But I would strongly suggest you contact Lexmark Technical Support for assistance, especially if there are options attached to the printer, to make sure all options will function properly.

Invalid engine code on Lexmark Optra T610

Sounds like you've experienced a fairly common problem with Lexmark Optra printers. The engine board has more than likely failed. Rather than go to to Lexmark, try this site for a less expensive replacement board...

Invalid engine code?

Try putting the old fuser back and see if it gets rid of the error, then if that's the case the new fuser is defective. If not, here's a link to the Lexmark website which gives you instructions on what to do when having that "Invalid Engine Code" error message. http://bit.ly/9D61W3. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more assistance.

i take it that your getting an invalide engine code error? this is caused usually by the printer taking a power surge. you can get a batch file from lexmark to reflash the engine board however if it will take the code it usually odesnt last to long. change the engine board and your problem will go away
