Ive set up but can't set display to english on printer panel

On setting up my hp all in 1 printer scanner i somehow set lingo to spanish-i think-.-how to set to english ? hp j4660

  2. Press "Setup"
  3. Select "Basic Settings"
  4. Select "Set Language".

to change language on display to english do this.
press setup 7 times until preferences is displayed
press ok
press ok
press 11 for english
press 1 to confirm
if country is usa press 11 again
press 1 to confirm

Changing the Control Panel Display Language

The default control panel display language is set for English.
Supported languages are: English, French, German, Italian,
Spanish, Finnish, Danish, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Turkish,
Polish, and Portuguese. Follow these instructions to change the
display language.

1 Switch OFF the printer.
2 Press and hold Select while switching the printer ON until
SELECT LANGUAGE appears in the display.
3 After the power-on self test, LANG=ENGLISH appears. Press
[Value+/-] until the desired language appears in the display.
4 Press [Select] to save your choice. An asterisk (*)appears next
to the language to indicate it is now the default.
5 Press [Go]. The On Line indicator is lit, and display messages
are now in the language you selected.

  2. Press the number 5 on the front panel numeric keypad, and then press Enter to access the Language and Region settings.
  3. The available languages will appear in the display. Press the Right Arrow (>) button to scroll through the available languages. Enter the two-digit code for the desired language based on what is listed in the display (example - 11 for English, 12 for Spanish, and etc.).
  4. Confirm the selection by pressing the number 1 on the numeric keypad of the all-in-one. Press 2 to cancel the language and try again.
  5. The available regions will appear in the display. Press the Right Arrow (>) button to scroll through the available regions. Enter the two-digit code for the desired region based on what is listed in the display.

The front panel language does not set correctly There can be a problem if the front panel cover (bezel) is not installed correctly. If the language cannot be set or is still wrong, do the following:
  1. If the software has not been installed, install it.
  2. Remove the control panel bezel. This may require the use of a coin or small screwdriver to carefully pry up the cover from the back (near the display).
  3. Reinstall the front panel bezel as shown in Figure 1. Be sure the bezel is firmly seated and that all of the buttons can move freely. Figure 1: Installing the front panel bezel c00224430.jpg
  4. Set the front panel language following the steps above.

CHANGING PRINTER CONTROL PANEL LANGUAGE


Hi,

See solution below:

1. Turn off the printer.
2. Press 'select' and turn on the printer. (select button should be pressed while turning it on)
3. press '-value+' to choose your language
4. press 'select' to save
5. press 'go' to return to ready mode.

Ive just managed to solve this prob,1) pull the power cord out of the back of the printer. 2) put 1 finger on the colour copy button and another on the cancel button, 3) put cord back into printer while still holding down the buttons and it will take u back to the welcome page and u can reset the language. xx yvo x

turn the printer on
unplug the power cable
press and hold # and 6
connect the power cable back in and keep these buttons on hold till the screen goes off or says semiful reset, if it turns off press the power button to turn it on and follow the screen it ll prompt u to press 11 for english and so on ...

Here is the website to get the manual. www.thomsonnetwork.com At the bottom type in 27996 and it will bring up a pdf file that you can download to your computer. Here are the directions for your problem. Display Language 1. Press the FLASH/program button until 1ENG 2FRA 3ESP shows in the display. 2. Use the CID/VOL (left or right arrow) button or the handset number pad to select 1 (English), 2 (French), or 3 (Spanish). The default setting is ?1ENG?. 3. Press the FLASH/program button to confirm and to advance to the next menu feature.
