Question about Canon imageCLASS 4000 ED Laser Printer
I have someone using a Canon ImageClass 4000 printer in an all Mac
environment. After each print job, an extra sheet is printed with the
following "descriptive" message:
The printer is set up on all the computers via AppleTalk and it happens when you print from any of the machines. I haven't tried it from Parallels yet but I may do that when I'm there tomorrow. I also might try setting it up with the IP rather than AppleTalk.
It has an Ethernet port and when I got there last time it was assigned to some 148.x.x.x number which is not the subnet so I assigned it to 192.168.x.x, which I suspect is when the issue started happening, but when I switched it back it didn't change anything.
I've also tried several cold resets. Is there a hot/hard reset? What can I do to fix this do you think?
STACKING IS A MEMMORY ISSUE OR THE POCESSOR CANNOT DO ANYMORE WORK UNTIL IT GET SERVICED.
APPLE TALK SHOULD BE FORWARD AND EASY TO SETUP AND ON THE OTHERHAND YOU MAY NEED TO HAVE THE NETWORK SOFTWARE FOR APPLE CONFIGURATION, IT HAS BEEN ALWHILE SENCE I WORKED ON THE APPLE TALK, I CANNOT THINK OF THE SOFTWARE YOU NEED BUT THE OTHER OPTION IS NETWORKING IT IS GOOD OPTION IF AGAIN YOU HAVE THE PROPER SOFTWARE AND DRIVER TO HOOK IT UP TO A NETWORK THREW IBM/MAC COMPATABLE SYSTEM INTERCHAGEABLE SOFTWARE.
ALOT OF THIS HAS TO DO WITH THE NETWORKING AND SHARING PROGRAM, OTHER OPTIONS BEFORE YOU GO THREW ALL THE WORK IS CHECK OUT OTHER IDEAS, HETWORK ASSIST, CONTROL PANAL AGAIN, WIFI IS THE MAC WIFI CAPABILE, IS THE PRINT SETUP TO DO WIFI, THERE IS AN ADAPTER IS ABOUT 30.OO DOLLARS THAT YOU PUT THIS USB ADAPTER IN THE PRINTER CABLE CONNECTOR AND THE OTHER END IN THE SERVER OR COMPUTER AND THAN YOU ARE WIFI AND EVERYONE CAN SHARE AS LONG AS YOU SAY ITS OKAY TO SHARE IN THE NETWORK AND SHARING FOLDER
